We are very honored to be the special winners in Skeezix's Halloween Purrade! Mom misses our Wizard of Oz pages but she decided to have us trot towards the Thanksgiving holiday.

For the gift card, we had a choice of Petco, Petsmart, or Amazon, so we decided on Amazon. We started looking to see what we could buy and that's when we discovered that Drinkwell has come out with a stainless steel 360 water fountain which we hadn't heard about, but we're not going to buy it. We thought that was really cool, but we just replaced our Drinkwell Platinum with the plastic 360 because it started leaking. There is also one negative comment so far about it on the Petsmart website.

I think we had Amazon on the brain because my friend TT told me earlier that they sell the C.E.T. dental chews at a great price! I know that sounds boring, compared to a nice new bed, toy or furniture, but we have lots of those and no chews, so I have a feeling that we're going to end up buying the bag of 96 chews! We haven't had them in awhile so I guess we'll be chewing like there's no tomorrow.

So last night, we had an unexpected visitor, and it was a dog! Mom took Quincy out for a walk in the dark last night and they ran into his best friend Casey, another Golden Retriever who lives in the neighborhood, walking with his parents. Since they were close to our house, she invited them over to play in our backyard.

At one point, the patio door was open with the screen door closed and Casey spotted me sitting at the door looking at him. He has two kitty siblings of his own and walked over to check me out! We were nose-to-nose at the screen door for minutes, sniffing each other out real good. He really wanted to come inside to play with me because he was wagging his tail! If Mom had the camera outside with her she would have taken a picture but she didn't.

Mom has decided she's not going to bring me back to see the vet for another blood poking for maybe a couple of months, even though the vet suggested a month. Too much poking and she's not sure for what. I don't think I mentioned that I also had a special thryoid test done the last time along with a pancreatic test, so I think I've been tested for ALOT of stuff already.

I also got this new report called Patient Trending to compare numbers from visit to visit. I could have told them that I'm very trendy! I've been taking my Pepcid in Pill Pockets and licking up Lysine. Reebok and Pebbles are sneezing a little also, so they're getting the Lysine too. Any other nosey cat who wants to see what's on Mom's finger also gets some!

Seriously, I am acting normal, and will be under Mom's watchful eyes for any changes.

Thank you very much to all our friends who have been stopping by to visit with our family and leaving us rosettes, gifts, treats, pawmails, and comments. We've not been so good lately with keeping up with all our friends because of Mom's busier schedule these days, but she still has 15 days left of vacation days to take this year, and she's taking one tomorrow for Quincy's treatment which also means she'll get to spend more time with us!

If you read this entire diary entry you are a patient friend! MOL

Love,
Mercy

Hi Mercy!
Of course we read to the end~that's what friends are for :)
Wow was mom excited to hear about a stainless steel Drinkwell.
She always said it would be purrfect if not for the plastic. We saw the review, find it hard to believe that it would rust after one week!!!
Stainless steel does not rust. Will try to find more reviews though
and probably will eventually buy it on eBay~always the best prices there. All 3 boys just love that fountain and drink gallons!
Keep feeling good Mercy,
Love,
Wally and co

Hi Mercy,
I always love reading about you and your family so it's never too long. I'm glad you are better and won't need to be poked for awhile. As for sniffles, my two brothers have upper repiratory infections and we have heard from others that there is a lot of illness going around this year. Wonder why? I know your Mommy will watch you closely.
OK, pretty girl, you stay healthy now.
Love you
Elise

Mercy,
Our family loves to see your latest photos as your family is so imaginative. It's no wonder you won top prize for the halloween contest.

We already knew you were trendy and it's good to see the vet recognizes this at well.

Enjoy the extra time with Mom tomorrow!!

Amazon was a good choice. You can get books and make your humans read to you.
Mommy toyed with the idea of getting us a drinkwell when she had money, but they are made in China, and she doesn't like that. Maybe they would be better quality and wouldn't break and get bad reviews if they were made somewhere else. Maybe a clever kitty mommy or daddy can invent something better made that doesn't have all the plastic. Mommy tries to limit our exposure to plastic. Hmm, I bet someone out there in Catster land is clever enough to invent a better cat fountain. Come out, come out, where ever you are!

Well of course we read the entire thing! Silly girl! I agree with your mommy about "too much poking!" If you seem to be feeling okay, then you deserve a break from those scary vet visits!

I hope Quincy's treatment went well today. I'm sorry I called him an Irish Setter. *blushes* What was I thinking???

Back when we had doggies they always wagged their tails and acted like they wanted to play with us when they came in the house but we weren't having anything to do with that idea!! MOL!

Edgar

I love C.E.T. chews! They were my favorite! Mommy joked about having to be careful when giving them to me, something about having to count her fingers! Mommy had to start putting them up high on a shelf because one day I pulled down 5 bags of C.E.T. chews Mommy had been stocking up for me, and since I couldn't figure out how to open the bags, I just chewed the bags and pulverized the chews inside to bits.
