It took them almost almost three months, but Mom and Dad finally went to see the Humane Society's new ANIMAL COMMUNITY CENTER!
They said the place was very cool, and they saw dogs, cats, and rabbits. The habitats are really nice glass enclosures and people who sponsored the habitats added their own touches of color-coordinated bedding and stuff.
Mom went into the community room for cats, which is a large room where some adult cats live. A couple of them gave her love-bites when she petted them. Just like home!
There were a bunch of little kittens in large kennels, and a very cute little girl named Abbie batted at Mom's face through the kennel. Mom said she practiced restraint and never asked to take the kittens out to play with them. There was also a gray and white kitten by herself and a volunteer told Mom that "She really wants to be adopted!" MOL
I also heard that Mom told Dad that she wouldn't mind adopting another dog! OMC, I think she was serious!
I think we're all glad they came home with nothing but full stomachs, since they went out for dinner afterwards.
Love,
Mercy
Leave A Comment | 9 people already have Another dog? You don't need any more dogs, you need another cat! You've got all those young ones trained - you need another kitten to pass along your knowledge! Mercy,
Watch out. Samoa may be trying to foist Newman off on you.
Cheers,
Luci Deep down, Samoa loves Newman, and hopes for more new siblings! An additional kitten would keep Newman out of her fur! I know how you feel!!! You have a really big furmily, much bigger than mine, and I still don't want meowmy bringing home any newbies!!! It's so hard to go to the shelters and not come home with someone. Good luck on getting a new dog. We know it will have a GREAT HOME!
Love Ya,
Kibbles, Francis, & Yoda I wonder if I would like a rabbit...... A doggie?!?! Well the two doggies you have are out numbered :) Ooooooooooooooooooo MOL...we really do not need another dog! What a pawsome facility! Mom and I wish we had one like that here. Is it no-kill? That would make it even better.
Mercy ... your mom needs to come visit us and take some of our kittens home with her! MOL!
