My Fifth Birthday

Dear Diary,

We celebrated March birthdays yesterday in the Squeaky and Fuzzy, for the Love of Toys group (for me and woofie Ginger), and today in the Terrific Tabbies group (for me and Jeter Harris, Lucivar Aristotle, Louis LeBeau, and Bubbie). All kitties and *gasp* doggies who were there had a great time.

Thank you again to every kitty and doggie (yes, I have dog pals who write to ME and not my own doggie brothers!) for all of your messages, treats, and rosettes. My birthday would not have been the same without you!

Before I knock this silly, homemade hat off my head and give it to the dog to destroy, I wanted to share a letter from my longtime friend, Big Bad Baby Twinkle, who couldn't join us today in the Tabbies group. I got her permission yesterday to post her letter in my diary today. She never fails to crack me up!

Ahem, Lady Mercedes -- I must wish you a Pre-lated (vs Belated) Birthday greeting, as my Meowmie will be visiting her elderly auntie (who once told her to "Wash your cats!" -- aaaagh! The very thought of that!!) starting tomorrow, and unless I can get her up early so I can use da Puter before she leaves, she will be gone for a few days. I think Meowmie deliberately leaves every so often so that I can praktiss my good will (not) on da CatSitter to keep the CS on her toes.

May all your happiest wishes come true. May Pounce rain frm da sky. May birdies and mousies offer their plump boddies to you (hmm, maybe a bad idea, with da birdie floo going around.....), may ALL the doggers in da nayborhood line up in fronta yore howse, bow down to you and then take off running with their tales between their laigs, never to darken yore doorstep again . May all your kitty and doggy brudders and sisters put their party hats on and have a rockin good time with you and bring you LOTS of prezzints.

Be sure to give your Meowmie and Meowdad a kitty kiss to tell them "Thank you for Reskooing me so many years ago!"

I shall be thinking about you tomorrow and sending you my best wishes. If I could fit into Meowmie's Mow-dem I would Mow-dem over to you but I might get stuck -- how embarrisink!!!
