The night my skin Mom rescued me

I was at the store catching june bugs to eat 'cause I was real hungry.Every time someone opened the door I would run in because it was nice and cool there and it smellen real good.The man behind the counter would say"is that d**ned cat in here again and throw me out!These two ladies pulled up in a pick-up truck,I found out they had been playing bingo in Oklahoma and were on their way home to Texas.They said Awwww look at that pretty white kitten,I didn't know they meant me because I had gotten pretty dirty since I had been out on my own.And everyone around there called me a flea bag:-( But it was me they were talking about...one of them said "I already have two cats"...the other said we CAN"T leave him.
They went to the door of the store and asked whose cat was I? The guy in the store said "Is that darned cat in here again" so,they took me with them.
My new Mom had never had a cat and she had to stop at an all night grocery store and get a litter box,litter,cat food and bowls while the other lady watched me.Then we got in her car and the other lady left in her truck.While we were driving to her house I started crying because i was so hungry!She managed to get one of the cans of food opened for me and I ate and ate until the food was so mooshed in the sides of the can that I couldn't get any more out.
She finally came to a red light and she was so worried about me that she stopped WAY back from the light and started digging food out of the can for me.About the time she got some loose,the light changed and she started to go BUT there was a policeman who turned on his lights and made her pull over.
He asked if she had been drinking! She sain NO he said why did you stop so far from the light,she started telling him why and he finally saw me and believed her,that was close! I would have hated spending the night in jail!!
Anyway we finally got home.Home wow that sounds so good I was 12 weeks old and had been homeless forever and ever at least it seemed like it.
She took me and her purse inside and went back to get my litter box and stuff from the car ,LOL she was really hurrying because she did not know how long after a kitten eats would it need to potty.While she was doing that I went exploring I found the bedroom and climbed up on the bed.My new dad said "what's this?" ,I was purring so loud he figured out what I was right away !My new mom went looking for me and was trying to be quiet so she would not wake him up;-))She sneaked around looking everywhere , finally she got to the bedroom and my new dad said "looking for something?"She said"yes it is a surprise" He said "is this it?" and lowered the covers so she could see me on his chest.
