With Thanksgiving so close now, we are all writing what we are thankful for.
I am thankful that I was brought to this wonderful home after traveling around in a purse for who knows how long.
I am thankful that mom and dad wipe my eyes when they get goopy from allergies - even though I act like I don't want them to wipe them.
I am thankful that mom and dad will pet me and kiss me whenever I ask for it and that mom kisses me all the time anyway.
I am thankful that there is a roof over my head, plenty of food and water, and lots of toys for my enjoyment.
I am thankful for my brother and sisters.
I am thankful that mom and dad take such good care of all of us.

WOW!! Diary of the Day!! Who would have thought? Thank you so much for this honor!
Mom and dad are exhausted. This new cat, PJ, is keeping everyone on their toes. The "problem children" right now are my little sister JoJo and my big sister Fey. Jojo is scared of PJ because of his size so she hisses at him. Fey is what is mom and dad call "passive aggressive". Yesterday things were actually much calmer in the house. It was a gloriously beautiful day so we got to have the windows open all day!! This was great because it gave all us cats something else to do other than worry about a giant new comer. Everyone was happy. Plus, mom bought some Felway (hormone/pheromone) spray and diffusers. I think the pheromones will help. We were all a lot calmer.
PJ wants to play - a lot. I think he secretly wishes we would play with him but he isn't sure about us yet. He rushes at us to scare us if we are getting too close to him but he has never touched us or bowled us over.
Next week should be better. Mom will be home all week for vacation. We are all a lot calmer when both mom and dad are home. Dad is home all day but we are much happier/friskier when mom comes home from work each evening.
Hope all you kitties have a great day! Thank you for stopping by! Please feel free to sign my guestbook is you are so inclined!

Dad brought home a new cat on Wednesday afternoon. He is a three year old Maine Coon mix. He is HUGE. Things have been crazy. He was sequestered in mom and dad's bedroom on Wednesday. They did take him into our cat room for a bit to show him around. He was allowed out and about to smell the house on Thursday while we were sequestered.
He decided he was tired of being sequestered in the bedroom on Friday morning - when mom was trying to get ready for work. Then, at 4.am. this morning, he climbed to the very top of the three baby gates blocking the bedroom door, squeezed through the small gap and heaved himself over. Not a happy wake up for mom or dad. Now, dad has taken the baby gates off every door and is not hovering around (he and mom have been heavily monitoring the goings-on) and things are much better. Mom and dad think their stress over having to monitor all the time was adding to our stress. I think they are right. Things are a bit better. PJ seems to be acclimating to the house quickly. It's us cats he has an issue with. Actually, he just wants to be left alone to explore....we want him out!! This is our house and our stuff! We are all slowing feeling each other out. It has gone surprising well so far for the short amount of time he has been here. Mom/dad didn't think they would be able to take the gates down for at least a week. PJ had other plans.
I will try to keep you posted. Mom says she will make a page for PJ as soon as things settle down a little here. Mom is also copying and pasting diary entry on my siblings' pages. She is tired and stressed out from having little sleep last night.

RULES: Pick 3 three of your good pals, purr the reason why you think they're great! Then send them a pmail or rosette with: "you've been tagged / read my diary for the rules" message. List the kitty who tagged you in the entry header.
I was tagged by Mittens! I agree with everyone else, it is very hard to just choose three kitties to talk about - and to choose three kitties that haven't already been tagged!! I have so many good friends here on Catster.... I ended up writing names on paper (because I am very talented) and then pulling three out of a hat!
I chose The Fabulous Miss D, Areyel, and Jasper. Again, there are many reasons I like these cats and think they are great, but mom didn't want to type all night, so here goes:
The Fabulous Miss D: What I really like about you is, you know who you are and you are happy to be YOU. You know you are beautiful and talented and you are not ashamed to say so. You are also very kind and giving (but I won't tell anyone!).
Areyel: Buddy, you are just all around great! Friends from the start, we were. You are very helpful and generous, funny, creative and just plain nice. You have always made me feel welcome and included.
Jasper: You are just an adorable little man kitty. Your stories are wonderful! You are mischievous, yet sweet and nice. Plus, you know how to use an electric can opener!! You Rock!!

Hi everyone! Since the rain seems to have stopped for a few days (finally) mom and dad have not put ointment in my eyes (for my allergies) in a couple days!! YAY!! I sure hate that ointment. It feels goopy and I get all teary. Plus, it seems to make me light sensitive as well. All around, NO fun.
I was a "scamp" this morning, mom says. I really was getting into things. Well, I wanted mom to get out of bed! I started in the bathroom, banging the cabinet doors. Then I moved to the dresser by the bed. I proceed to knock her water bottle off, then her chapstick. Next was going to be her glasses, but she snatched them away and went back to sleep. So, I jumped on the bed and scratched the wall by her head. She patted me on the rump and told me "No." Well, a pat on the rump isn't going to get me to stop..... She finally got out of bed after a few more minutes of scratching the wall. That was hard work, so I ate some breakfast and then took a nap.
That's my day so far...

First, let me say a very special Thank You to Areyel who is always looking out for us and giving us fantastic Catster tips! Thank you Areyel!! You are the Best!
Second, thank you so much to everyone who has signed my guestbook and shoutbox! We love seeing new pictures and messages. I think mom will put shoutboxes or guestbook on each of my siblings pages this weekend.
Third, I would like to wish everycat and family a Safe and Happy Independence Day today!
Fourth, and lastly, Thank you to everyone in the groups we are members of for us making us all feel so welcome here!
I got mom out of bed (finally) at 8am by knocking her water bottle off the dresser by her head. Next was going to be her glasses, if that water bottle thing hadn't worked... So, she got up, fed us our canned Salmon cat food, fed the feral cats dry food and 1/3 of the Salmon can, washed the dishes, and finally got herself a cup of coffee to enjoy while surfing the Internet. She says as soon as she finishes typing this she will clean out litter boxes.
Mom rocks. 'Nuf said. Dad isn't bad either, but he's not the one typing this for me!!

I suffer from allergies when the seasons change. Well, in Texas, that is about twice a year. However, this year, and especially this June, we have had sooooo much rain that my eyes have been weepy for weeks on end. I mostly hate it when mom wipes my eyes with a tissue. Sometimes, though, I rub my face into the tissue to help mom get all the goop out. Well, mom was worried since the tearing hadn't stopped, so dad took me to the v-e-t this week. Normally, I like Dr. Pendery, but he took a moistened cotton pad and really scrubbed my eyes to get the gunk off - so I hissed at him. He told dad that a lot of animals are suffering from allergies this year. Anyway, after I was abused with the cotton pad, Doc put some ointment on my eyelids which I promptly blinked into my eyes. I don't like the feeling of ointment in my eyes, but it is definitely helping. My eyes look much better today. Mom says that just because my eyes look better, doesn't mean we can stop the ointment. Sigh.... I know mom and dad love me and would never do anything to hurt me, so I guess I will put up with the ointment...... for now. Plus, I do get a treat afterwards!
Have a great day!

Dude Kitty tagged me! I will add seven more random facts about me but will not tag seven more cats. Finding the first seven (who hadn't already been tagged) was a bit of a chore.
1. One of my favorite napping spots is the bathroom sink.
2. I am Alpha cat here (which drives my brother Sammy crazy) even though that priss Fey has been here longer and could probably whupp my butt if she'd get off her fat poofy hiney.
3. I was four months old when I arrived here at my furrever home.
4. I am a "cave cat". If there is something for me to make a cave out of I do.
5. I have chosen Dad as my primary human, but prefer to sleep with mom.
6. I love to play with shoelaces.
7. I really like to "help" mom fold the laundry.

The "Tag! You're It!" Rules:
Each player starts with seven (7) random facts about themselves. Cats who are tagged need to write in their own diary about their seven things and the rules of the "Tag! You're it!" game. You also need to choose seven other cats to tag and list their names. Don’t forget to leave each cat you tagged a comment (Catster Paw Mail) that you tagged them and instructions to read your diary for details of game play. Have fun tagging and meeting new kitties (hint: check recently updated diaries to find some kitties who haven't been tagged that might have fun playing the game.)!!!
1. My little sister, JoJo, is my best buddy.
2. I have allergies when the seasons change and my eyes get teary.
3. I still play "what's under the covers" with mom and dad and pounce like a kitten on their hands/feet under the covers.
4. Although I am a "big" cat, I am graceful and can jump to high places with ease.
5. I Love to hassle/chase my older sister Fey because she doesn't like play a lot.
6. Mom and dad keep 2 full pitchers of water on the counter by the kitchen sink because I like to drink from them.
7. I am teaching JoJo all my tricks.... (mom and dad are not amused)
I am tagging:
Alfiechinacat #434708

Sophie #568660

This morning, while mom was getting ready for work I took the towel off the back of the commode three times. Mom got tired of picking it up and putting it back up there, so she got another towel out of the linen closet. Hey, she is human, she thought maybe I just really liked THAT towel. Nope. I pulled the new one off several times too. The third towel she put up there I left. She had worked hard enough for this morning. Plus, she needed to leave to earn money to buy me more food and toys. I cut her some slack.
This evening, mom attacked my eyes with a tissue because my allergies have been acting up with all this rain the past few days. OK, actually she did not ATTACK my eyes, she wiped gently, but I didn't like it either way.
Dinner time for mom. Gotta go.
