Leave a treat for Jeremy In Memory 1995-2012

Nicknames:
Jerm

Quick Bio:
-cat rescue

Likes:
food of any kind (that is why he is so darn big), all toys and catnip but especially likes to take the tails off the fuzzy little mice from Petsmart and he has a thing about taking his toys and putting them in his water and washing them!

Pet-Peeves:
the other cats....he has gotten grouchy in his old age, the dogs, not letting him hang on you

Favorite Toy:
His red and white checked catnip bag is his favorite but he likes alot of different toys...he is also fond of chewing on clothes. Sometimes it's new clothes which can be maddening...I bought some Christmas gifts last year that he had to get his jaws on.

Favorite Nap Spot:
under the covers of the bed even in the summertime!!(he doesn't think we can see him there)

Favorite Food:
anything that doesn't eat him first

Skills:
he is the best hugger in the world, throws his arms around your neck and squeezes and he gives the BEST back rubs....if you sit down he will stand on his back legs and knits on our back with those little paws...it is great!!

Dwells:
indoors

Arrival Story:
My Mom's cat died unexpectedly and I went to get her another one at the Cat's Cradle rescue and when I got there they had two black cats (brother and sister, about 6 months old). I got the female for my mom and then went back later on that day and got the male for myself cause I felt so bad leaving him behind. He has been a joy from the very start...the most personable cat I have ever owned. There isn't an animal or human that he doesn't like.Update: April 13, 2012...Jeremy had to be put to sleep as he had deteriorated in the past few weeks. He was our old boy and we will miss his attitude.

Bio:
His past before us is a mystery but he was a real find for us. I have had alot of cats but he has been the most entertaining of the bunch. Everyone that sees him wants him cause he is such a character. Oh, and one other funny story about him (it wasn't funny at the time)....my husband always puts his money on the dresser in our room. He was constantly complaining that money was missing and blaming me for taking it!! (paper money, to be exact!) A few months later we moved the armoire in our bedroom and there among the cat toys that Jeremy had stuffed under it were all the bills. We don't know if Jeremy is a klepto or is just saving up for something special!!! We started putting the money away. Jeremy has gotten kinda grouchy in his old age.....he hasn't got a whole lot of time for the young whippersnappers....he really is the boss of everyone and that doesn't go over so good with the youngsters!

This is a day like all others....sit in the window and watch the birds, clean Boots up and then myself. Have breakfast, crawl under the covers for a snooze, have a snack, bat the catnip bag around and hang on Mom. Have a snack, clean myself, snack again, pounce on Boots and then.....have a snack. And when all is said and done....I....have another snack......now you know where my weight problem comes from....
