Oh, Zoe. How could anyone not be devoted to you? You demand full obedience from all who serve you. But in some strange way, you make me want to do whatever it takes to make you a happy kitty. You are my little Princess, THE Diva. Who could ask for anything more? I love you, Toadie-Bird!

Houseguests -- YUCK!!

Well, Mom brought another cat home. Her name is KiKi and Mom told us that she was not going to be permanent, but that's what she said about Lucy 4 years ago, and we all know how that turned out. This KiKi character is a real pain in my rear too. She likes to hide around corners and jump out at me, she eats all the good wet food, hogs the windowsill in the living room, and just once I would like to be able to take a pee without her watching me!!!! I mean, have a little decorum for crying out loud!

BUT -- Mom says she will be leaving for her new home in a few weeks. Until then, I will do what I always do: suffer in silence..... Oh, the indignity of it all!!!!!!

Tasty treats!!!

Oh, how I LOVE spiders!! I found a whole nest of 'em behind the bathtub the other day. Okay, so it was Mom who found 'em. But when she screamed, I came running to see what was all the ruckus and there they were -- most of 'em were kinda small, but there were two big ones in there and I dived right in.

After Mom saw me eat the first couple, she had to leave the room. She said she would probably never bathe again, but I'm sure eventually she'll come around -- she can't stay out of the bathroom forever, right?

I can't believe it!!

I never do anything wrong -- or rather, everything I do is right. That's the way it has always been. Everyone understands that I get my way, and that's just how it is. So, imagine my surprise when I got in trouble last night! I mean, I've seen this sort of thing happen to the others (especially that little rat of a dog who came to stay with us - temporarily, I'm sure - a while back), but for me to get scolded was a complete shock.

It all started a few weeks ago. The weather was nice and I just wanted to go outside. So we made a compromise: I got to go outside, but only when I was wearing that insanely stupid looking harness and leash contraption. Yes, it was humiliating, but I did get what I wanted. And, so what if I got a little overexcited and started yowling and meowing so loudly the neighbor's noticed? Was that any reason to make me go inside the house again? Come on, if I have to wear the dang harness, then "she" can put up with a few neighborly stares, right? So anyway, I haven't gotten to go outside since. So last night, she lets the dog out and leaves the door open! What was I supposed to do? I couldn't help it! I made one huge leap at the screen door and, yes, it shredded under my grip. Can I help it if my claws are extra sharp and I don't know my own strength?? I mean, I was as surprised as everyone else was. So "she" comes in the house and points her finger at me, saying something like, "Bad kitty, don't ever do that again! blah blah blah, etc etc" Of course, I just sniffed her finger and fixed her with my "are you kidding me?" look. She eventually walked away, but for crying out loud-- was that really called for???
