Twist-ties, carboard boxes, catnip, plastic bags, Poland Spring bottle caps, sleeping in the window. She also enjoys watching the bunnies and squirrels in the backyard, and laundry when its right out of the dryer and still warm... its nice to cuddle in.

Loud noises, screaming children, when shes told she can't do something (i.e., eat plastic bags).

The windowsill. The back of the couch. On her mommy's bed.

Favorite Food:
Fancy Feast marinated chicken and Purina Naturals dry food on a daily basis. Cake frosting and whipped butter when someone else is eating it.

Skills:
She plays fetch with her twist-ties and bottlecaps. We throw it, she gets it and brings it back. She also knows her name and answers when you call her.

Arrival Story:
We adopted her from a Pet Adoption Fair after our beloved tabby, Tigger, passed on in 2002 from health issues related to diabetes. We were heartbroken and weren't sure we wanted to get another cat. The woman at the shelter told us she wasn't doing well in that setting, she was very skittish and nervous and didn't like the other animals and loud barking. But as soon as I held her I knew she was meant to be mine. She became outgoing and inquisitive the minute we brought her home, and only becomes skittish when shes frightened or taken by surprise at loud or strange noises. She's VERY affectionate, and loves to cuddle up and suckle on our hand as she falls asleep. She takes awhile to warm up to new people, but once she does shes a sweetie. She has brought so much joy and happiness to our lives. She's just perfect and we love her more than words can say. She runs the house, in other words.

Bio:
We named her after Arwen the female elf from 'Lord of the Rings' because we liked the name, and because she looked like a little elf when we first got her. We just changed the 'e' to a 'y' because we liked it better that way. We aren't sure when she was born exactly, she was very small when we got her but the vet said she could've been anywhere from 2-4 months old, so we just celebrate her birthday on 10.05, the date we adopted her. But she was probably born in late July/early August.
