Arrival Story:
Sisters Alice & Trixie were abandoned when their owner was evicted. The landlord was upset & threw the cats out on the fire escape. A kind person set up a shelter for them and fed them but couldn't take them inside. He had a very sick dog with a compromised immune system. As soon as my last foster found a home I took these sweet girls in. They're now living it up with me, my 4 cats, & 2 dogs. They get along really well with the other cats but prefer each other's company. While they aren't quite friendly with the dogs, they don't mind them as long as they leave them alone.

Alice & Trixie are about a year old, have tested negative for FELV/FIV, & are fully vaccinated. They have also received flea treatment. They were both pregnant when I took them in but fortunately weren't too far along to be spayed. These special girls must be adopted together, they are too bonded to be split up. They clean each other, sleep together, sit in the window together, & even take turns eating out of the same bowl. There is an adoption fee of $75 each, which goes directly back to the rescue organization that paid for their vet care. If interested in meeting these adorable girls, please email or contact Hillary at 347-663-3116 / 917-445-0112. I guarantee that you won't regret it.

Forums Motto:
Love will keep us together

Trixie is the more playful one, she loves her little mousie & chases it everywhere. But she loves to be petted too, she'll flop right over & knead the air. She's always ready for playtime or petting, doesn't matter which. Trixie has also started talking, mostly at feeding time, cute little squeaks aimed at me or the birds she sees outside the window. She loves to "hide" behind the shower curtain, as if I can't see the big lump or cute tail sticking out underneath. She has big paws, a big tail, & a peach colored nose. Alice is smaller, has dainty legs & paws, a nose & a chin like a lion, & is VERY sweet. Due to her time on the mean streets, Alice is ever vigilant. But she definitely prefers to curl up & be petted. She's the quieter, more subdued one & enjoys the simple things in life. I saw Alice run for the first time recently, she runs like she's wearing a diaper with her skinny little legs, adorable! She loves her food & has quite a hearty appetite for her size. Alice can't figure out why the dogs aren't trying to eat her, she gets a very cute confused look on her face when they get near her. The other day she cornered my pitbull by the bathroom while I was in the shower. My poor pittie was too afraid to go around her & Alice wasn't backing down. I had to shield her from Alice just so she could walk by!
