Arrival Story:
We found McGregor at the NYC ASPCA. His name then was Tweel--a sort of Scottish fabric. So in renaming him we were sensitive to the original. We learned only that he came from New Jersey. We think he was about 18 months old.

Bio:
McGregor is forever grateful, yet proud. He is the most intelligent of all of my animals. He just figures things out. He is the alpha pet of the family, without having to use violence. He is also a greeter--He's always at the front door when we come home. He's been on a diet and has lost considerable weight-he is down to 15 lbs from 21 lbs. He is a noble beast. It turns out that McG is diabetic. We've started him on insulin and will take it one step at a time.
