We picked Hester up at the local animal shelter. It was the middle of winter and they had found her in a snow bank, obviously quite cold and hungry!

Anecdote:
Hester was sitting in the couch behind me staring at a bug on the wall, meowing at it, moving every so often as it moved so she could sit directly below it. After about at least an hour of this (I'm not exagerating) she decided to go for it and jumped to catch it. Of course, she's a dumb sow, so she knocked the lamp over onto me and then ran away as if I'd just done something to startle her. Later on, she dropped a live bug in my lap and ran away.
