I didn't know how to update any where else so I started this diary..Back in August of 2010 we found out Snuggles had cancer..for a few weeks she wasn't well..then she bounced back and started in her old ways. Here in the past few days she got worse :( My mom took her to the vet and did an x-ray cause her tummy was swollen, but she was so bony. It wasn't good news..they had to put her down today. Its really hard when a pet has been part of your family for 12 years..they become a part of it. I have already seen how hurtful people can be..thinking were crazy cause were upset over a dead cat :(:( Were not crazy...she was our family..they act like we can just go out an get another to replace her an be fine. It don't work that way. Some people will never understand what animals mean to people. I'm sorry this is such a sad post and a really bad way to update..But Snuggles was a great cat, she was adopted from a shelter and loved very much. A friend sent me the Rainbow Bridge poem..I'll share it today...
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.... "
Thanks Catster for the great site to share our cat family members with everyone. Snuggles will be missed dearly..Hopefully one day I'll be able to make another page for another family member.
Hugs, Snuggles Family
