Orange & White Tabby

His hooman boys, sleeping, eating....

Children who visit the hooman boys and try to pet him fast or run at him...

Favorite Toy:
A stuffed mouse...

Favorite Nap Spot:
Garfield loves to sleep on the back of the couch - just like in his main picture :)

Favorite Food:
Any food will do...Believe it or not, even at 22 lbs., he never ate hooman food! Of course, he had a 3 lb. free feeder that had to go when he came home to us!!

Garfield is a professional napper...And, sometimes, when a family member is feeling down, he shows off his hugging prowess. He likes to wrap his front paws around your legs and sleep as if he were giving you a hug.

Arrival Story:
The hooman boys were lonely and were not able to have their puggies at the time due to extenuating circumstances. In January, 2007, we went to the vet's office to check and see if there were any cats available for adoption. As luck would have it, there was a picture of two very large kitty boys who were available to a good home for free. Mommy called the nice lady Heidi and asked her all about the kitties. Garfield and Gobble Abble (formerly known as Cain & Abel respectively) were 8 year old brothers, neutered, declawed (Mommy is upset about that part as it is inhumane to declaw in her opinion) and ready for a loving home. Heidi was expecting a baby and didn't have time or energy to take care of Garfield and Gobble Abble. So that very night the hooman boys (3 and 9) went over to Heidi's house and met the kitties. It was love at first sight on both sides - boys and kitties alike. And so, the kitties moved with the boys, Mommy and Daddy to their new home in Pugtown, Wisconsin. Garfield was 22 lbs. of love and Gobble Abble was 19 lbs. of love...

Since the kitties have come home, they have been losing weight. They are on a special diet, but it's hard to lose weight when you are small in stature. Garfield is down to 20 lbs. and Gobble is down to 17 lbs. these days (June 2007).
