Comet crossed the Bridge Today

Today, my 17 year old baby, Comet passed today. It was the hardest thing I had to do. I originally scheduled his appointment for tomorrow but today we was very vocal so I took him. The vet said his liver was going which was causing his ears to turn yellow..

I miss him.
He was 17 years old. He just celebrated his 17th birthday on Monday the 25th. I'm going to miss him sooo much. It wasn't as hard as his brother's passing because I knew it was coming with Comet. Bandit I did not know it.

Comet is up in heaven with his younger Brother Bandit who passed 4 years prior to his passing.

I think Comet's health started to decline when he got out of the house earlier this year. He had rubbed his feet down bare with scabbing and there was a bold spot on his front paw. I was with his through the procedure. It was sooo sad.

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday to my baby, Comet. Of course he's not a baby any more since he is 17 years old but I consider him to my my baby. We got him when he was born in 1996 when my brother and I were in elementary school. Wow. That makes me sound old... lol.

He's been through quite a lot, recently. First getting out of the house which was a first time. Ever since then, his health seemed to decrease. Of course he is old but I guess that "adventure" just sped everything up.

This morning we had quite a scare. I know cats tend to go into a private place to pass away and when we didn't see him in the kitchen, it scared me because he NEVER leaves the kitchen. We looked for him and found him under an end table in my room.

Poor baby got disoriented and guess he couldn't find the bathroom. I ended up having a "wet" rug which is not his usual thing. I cried myself most of the night into the morning when I finally fell asleep (5am).I just realized he's old and he will probably "go" this year.

I am even more scared because my parents are going out on vacation in 1-2 weeks and I'm scared that he will pass away when my parents are not home. I delt with losing Bandit when they were away. I do NOT handle death well these days...especially with pets. I know it's hard on everyone but It just seemed like only yesterday we brought him home.

I am NO Longer missing

On Sunday morning, we found Comet...or rather he found us. When my dad went to put insurance in the car in the garage, Comet jumped on his lap out of the blue. Since then, he has had 2 baths in 1 day to debug him and has been fed and had water. He is the love of our lives along with his sister Sissy. We are soo glad he is back. I kind of thought he was a goner since a.) he is 16 years old, and b.) he never got out side before.

MISSING!

I went missing two days ago. My family misses me amensely!
I just want to go home!

October - Halloween

Anyhow...
It's late October (going to November soon)
My owner is away at school so now i sleep on her bed all day since nobody is there any more.

Anyhow we had saddness in our family in early October. My owner's uncle passed away from a heart clot. :::Cries::: i didn't know him but still he was family...

Anyhow, halloween is here again. Every halloween i enjoy looking down at all the trick or treaters going from house to house. The only annoyance is that darn doorbell.

Hello, It's Me! Comet....
Today is sunday, august 19,2007!

My owner's uncle is in the hospital for a leg infection, but last wednesday his infection spread to his kidneys and such and had a massive heart attack. So please keep him in your prayers.

Also on Wednesday August 22nd, my owner is going away to college for 3-4 months. She'll be back in early December! Yey.... I'm really going to miss her.

Other then that, Bandit and myself are getting together... well like cats and dogs... lol....

Hello, cat lovers.. My name is Comet, and i am 11 years old. I was named Comet because I was born when a Comet was viewable from earth on March 25, 1996.

I live in the USA. Yey. I currently live with a family of 3/4 and a canine. Yes a canine. I don't like him alot though, but he's okay. He's a miniature pinscher, named Bandit (you can find him on dogster).

I am a laid back cat who likes to sleep and eat. My human's say i'm spoiled.. Well..... I don't disagree, but hey! I'm a cat... All people should be cat lovers. lol.
