Arrival Story:
My daughter always wanted a white Persian. After we lost her Balinese cat Susie, the boss of a friend of hers was giving away 2 white Persians, a 4-year-old and her 3-year-old kitten both declawed; she called me on the phone begging me to let her take them, so I said yes. She rushed home to get the carrier; a few hours later she was back with them. The former owner (who never wanted them, her husband bought them) had them shaved! They looked so funny! As their fur grew in I saw that they were not white but shaded silver, so beautiful. The mom's name was Missy, the kitten was Tiffany, who looked to be show quality! Tiffany quickly picked me as her favorite. Unfortunately she had asthma which the former owner never had treated; she died after only having her for one year, despite efforts of my vet and specialists. Missy came with me when I moved from NY to Phoenix, AZ in 2002. She passed away in March, 2003 of a stroke at the age of 12.
