His favorite official cat toy is a plush mouse with a catnip pocket.

Usually the middle of the living-room floor, but he also likes to sleep on his cardboard scratching pad.

Tuna flavored 9 Lives (which he only gets as a special treat).
Skills:
I'd say they're more quirks than skills, but he's very good at manipulating objects. For example, he likes to wedge the rod ends of those fishing-rod toys between other objects so that he can yank on the fish and let it snap back without any human help.

Arrival Story:
Quasar is a pet-store cat that my parents got for me when I got engaged. He was one of a litter of kittens for sale at the store, and all of them were beautiful, but Quasar's striking looks and endearing personality made him stand out to me. I couldn't have picked a better cat. I'm nuts about him.
Bio:
The reason I say Quasar is down to 8 lives is that he had a serious case of pneumonia a couple years ago. He hasn't had any major health problems since. When I first got him, I was tempted to name him Silent Cal because he was so quiet. We ended up naming him Quasar because my husband (then fiance) was taking an astronomy class at the time, and Quasar is bright and mysterious, much like his namesake. I don't know anything about Quasar's history before I got him (he was six weeks old), but he has all the characteristics of a chartreux, so I suspect there's a good big of chartreux in his background.
