Did I Miss Something?

Ok so some stranger lady came over our house yesterday. She was ooohing and aahhhing over the little furball baby. Now, normally I like visitors because they oooh and aahh over me and I get a lot of pets out of it. But this lady ignored me a bit. It was as if she wasn’t here to see me, and we all know, everyone comes here to see me. I AM the pretty boy, after all. Anyway, the other babies were sleeping in the bathroom the whole time. She kept petting on him instead of paying attention to me, and she brought this funny smelling container contraption. I went inside it when she opened the door, so I could check it out, but I’m still not sure what it is. We don’t have one here, but it smelled like a kitty had been in it. I was so into my investigating that Meowmy had to pull out the treats to get me to come out. While I was munching on those the strange lady left. After the lady left, Meowmy and Daddy went out for a while.

When they came back, they opened the bathroom door for the babies to come out. And I counted them, one…two….and the third should be right behind the twin, but he wasn’t! Wait, where’s the third baby? I looked up at Meowmy and asked. She didn’t understand my issue, she doesn’t speak cat. I stood up and looked into their cardboard box…nothing. I looked all around the bathroom to see if he was hiding, again nothing. So I asked Meowmy again and she said, “the baby is gone….he’s not coming back. He found a new home.” I was shocked and I definitely did not believe her. I stood up on my back legs and leaned my two front paws on her and checked her hands and arms to make sure she wasn’t hiding him. He wasn’t there. He really IS gone! I can’t believe it! Meowmy didn’t have to get rid of the baby! I mean, I know I acted like I didn’t like him. But I kinda DID like him. He reminded me a lot of me at his age. I was a ball of fur and really cute and cuddly, just like him. I guess I’m gonna miss the little guy. Nobody else seems to have noticed his disappearance. I bet that lady took him when I wasn’t looking! Meowmy said we should now refer to him as Benny, not furball. That he finally has a name. To me, he’ll always be Furball though!
