Sneak Attack

Since Vavo doesn’t offer up her time to play with me, I thought I’d try to sneak in a little fun one night when she got up from bed. It was the wee hours of the morning and she didn’t notice me hiding underneath the dining room table, so it was the purrfect opportunity to pounce! I’ve done it to Meowmy and Daddy before and they never seemed to mind. Vavo, on the other hand, didn’t appreciate my playfulness too much though. After I wiggled my butt and prepared for the right moment, I jumped out and swatted at her leg, playfully. I guess one of my nails got her and she started to bleed. Luckily she didn’t notice right away, or she might have tried to hit me right then. I watched her walk back to her room with a tiny trickle of blood going down her leg. Once she noticed…woah did she get mad! She yelled at me in Portuguese from the other room, so I can’t tell you what she said. I don’t understand Portuguese. But I could tell by the tone that she was not happy with me! Vavo doesn’t seem to like me too much, and I don’t think that helped. I don’t know why she doesn’t want to play with me. I’m cute! Anyway, Daddy said I couldn’t do anymore sneak attacks to Vavo. And he trimmed my nails after our little talk. Bummer.

My Birthday

Hey, what's wrong with Catster HQ today? It's my birthday today, the big 5 and I got no special wishes in my email today. I'm feeling a little left out. My little and big brother got theirs earlier in the month. What happened to me? They must think I'm too pretty and are jealous of me! That's gotta be it!! Course...there were a few bugs in my brothers messages. Did anybody else miss out today? Maybe they've got bugs and don't know it!

Had A Bad Day

I had a VERY BAD day yesterday! I was minding my own business, just stepping outside for a little relaxation on the side porch…when out of nowhere this mean kitty showed up. I crouched down saying “please don’t hurt me, I don’t wanna fight.” And you know what he did? He attacked me! Unprovoked even! How rude is that?! I was cornered, so I tried to run… but he chased after me. Then we rolled around in the grass and he scratched at me and bit me. I tried to run again, he chased me again. I hid under an outdoor bench, but he was so mean he just wouldn’t leave me be. I got back up to the door and scratched and scratched at the door, begging to be let back in. Vavo finally opened the door for me, but not soon enough. I already had a couple little scratches on my forehead and a bite on my tail. Not to mention the fact that I wet myself, it’s sooo embarrassing. I guess I act tough at home, but am really a softie at heart. I didn’t know what to do! I’ve never been in a fight before! Anyway, I was so scared after; that I hid in Daddy’s closet and would not come out. I wouldn’t even let him touch me, I kept hissing. He had to call Moewmy over for help. She was able to convince me to come out so they could take me to the vet. Because I wouldn’t let them touch me, they didn’t know where I was hurt, or how badly. The vet was really nice at first, but then she stuck me with a shot, two of them actually. AND they shaved off a patch of my beautiful fur! I guess it’s for my own good, though. But now Daddy is forcing me to take this medicine every day so I don’t get an infection. Yuck, it’s so gross I try not to swallow it! The good news is that I think this has also cured my Spring Fever! No thank you to outdoor escapes; I’m 100% indoors all the time now!

Spring Fever

I have a bad case of SPRING FEVER!! I get this way every year when the sun starts shining and the birds chirp outside my window perch. Once Daddy opens the window and lets in the fresh air, there’s no going back. Spring has finally sprung and the smell of the air makes this kitty long for the outdoors. I need to have some of that sweet tasting grass! You see, I’m an indoor kitty now, but I’m wild at heart. I was born outside, and if it weren’t for the scary cars, I’d be out there chasing the squirrels and laying in the sun all day. Yesterday I finally got my chance to do just that! You see…one of my aunties was visiting Vavo so I watched her closely, waiting for just the right moment to make a run for it. I quietly snuck outside with her, without any notice. I was FREE! It was Great! It was like playing with a Cat Nip toy after eating tuna, it was that good! Anyway, I had the whole yard to myself and could do whatever I wished since nobody knew I had escaped! I enjoyed a snack, soooo much grass, so little time! Unfortunately for me, I had VERY little time, since Daddy came home and saw me. I know sneaking out is bad, but it feels so good. I don’t think anything will ever compare to my Great Halloween Escape though. That night, Mommy and Daddy were out for dinner. It was just me and Vavo at home, and she kept opening the door for trick-or-treaters. I snuck out that night, and had freedom for several HOURS. It was like THE best day ever! Thinking about it now makes me want to try another escape….
