The Life of an Outside cat!

Busy Day

I am an outside cat named Little Bit. I am getting pretty old, I guess. I am eleven years old. I spend most of the day and night outdoors, hunting and prowling around, but when I get too hot or cold I always go inside for some special attention. My poppa is my favorite person. He spoils me and holds me in his lap and pets me. I like that a lot.
Today I caught a bird. My Momma got really upset with me for doing that, but what does she expect from an outside cat? When I catch mice and moles she doesn't seem to mind, in fact Poppa says I am a good girl when I do that. Tonight I am spending the night inside the house because it is so very hot this evening and Momma and Poppa worry about me. They are pretty good parents, even though they pay too much attention to the dogs, who I don't particularly like, to begin with. Two of them chase me all over the place, every chance they get. The other one, the Keeshond, is pretty cool. We hang out together sometimes, and I walk around the neighborhood with her when Momma takes her for her walks.
Well, other than catching a bird and getting chased by the dogs and relaxing in the shade and curling up in Poppa's lap, that is about everything I did today, which really was a busy day for me. I'll tell you about more of my adventures another day.
