indoors Arrival Story: We didn't think we'd be getting another cat after we lost Maggie May, but the house still felt empty 6 months after she left for the bridge. We decided to get our adoption status reactivated at Siamese Rescue in Virginia where we found Terra. We feel Maggie May must have been looking down on us because right after we were approved again a little purebred guy came into rescue and landed at the home of someone we already knew who fostered for SCR. I took one look at this little man and fell in love! He had a strange back story and had been given up by a man who claimed he was vicious and tried to kill his other cat. His foster Mom did not see any aggression in him, in fact he bonded right away with her big shy male cat Zeus and was following him everwhere. He made no moves towards her three female cats, in fact they totally ignored him. We talked a long time, I talked to my interviewer and we all agreed that he would make a fine addition to our family with Blue and Terra. He just arrived here in Montreal on Saturday May 26th, exactly 6 months after Maggie left. We are getting to know him slowly, he's a total love bug as far as we've seen. He has not met his new brother and sister yet, although Terra is parked outside his room often wiggling her toes under the door. Blue is another story, his nose is out of joint big time, he's a work in progress.. Bio: Well a year later and so much has changed, D'Arcy, Terra and Blue became fast friends pretty quickly, Blue and D'Arcy actually hit it off first within the first week, Terra soon after. Now all three sleep together, play together and wash eachother as if they've always been together. It's amazing, they actually act like litter mates! I am so excited! Mom took a photo of me and Rachel Parker saw it and decided to paint me. We got mail this week that she'd finished my painting and we went to take a look. As timing would have it, I was sitting on Mom's desk next to that keyboard she's always playing with (instead of me!) and trying to catch that thing she calls a cursor when she opened her mail. There I was staring a the screen and I thought it turned into a mirror when I saw my portrait popped up!
Blue and Terra say they aren't impressed, but I think they're just jealous. Cap likes it, but he's a cool dog who really likes cats. I told Terra if she stopped 'meatloafing' when Mom brought the camera out then maybe Mom could get a great photo of her too, but she smacked me one upside the head. She's got too much tortietude that one!

All last week Mom had the screen door open a bit and we were enjoying watching the birds and listening to the sounds outside, then at the end of the week it suddenly got really cold again! I have no idea why that happened, I thought the first day of spring was last Friday and that's the day the temperature dropped! Then quess what? It snowed again overnight Saturday. What a bummer!
I have no idea if my fur will ever lighten up again, unless Mom buys me a nice heated bed. Right now I look more like a Havana Brown then a Seal Point Siamese! I do my best, honest I do, I lay in the bay window in the kitchen every morning and sun myslf for several hours,
then move to the living-room for the afternoon rays. The radio says we are supposed to have a hotter, dryer summer this year. Yeah right..when have they ever called that properly?
Well I'm heading back to my Millie Bed so I can warm up, this is just too much for this Meezer! Brrrrrrr! Enough already!

You knows, I've been reading Blue and Terra's diary's this week and gosh, I'm starting to think they don't like me as much as I thought. I mean really, complaints galore! Terra wants respect, Blue doesn't want me to make moves that work, what next?!
I heard Mom mutter something about that "Pecking Order" again. Now I saw that in Terra's diary too, and I want to know what the heck it means? Because I'm the youngest? Because I only got here just over a year and a half ago? That just doesn't make sense. I'm not a chicken, I don't PECK! Mom says Blue's her BOY, but calls me her "Baby Boy". Now to me that sounds like she loves us the same so why can't we all be in the same order? That's what I want to know.
She calls Terra her "Tootie"...(not even girl...Ha!)
Ok, I have to go off and think about this pecking stuff. Maybe someone can fill me in after reading this.
