Did I drop off the face of the planet...?

Nope! I'm still alive and kicking. This year has been such a big year for me that I haven't even had time to update! Those catnaps can really keep a guy busy.

Well, I moved! I'm in a brand new apartment with Mom and Jordan. It's just a one-bedroom, but it was feeling pretty spacious.

So spacious that...Mom got me a little sister! At first, I thought she was a new chew toy. But I couldn't really tear her apart like I can with my mousies, so I guess she's here to stay. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em, right? Well, I still like to beat her up, but I like snuggling with her, too. Her name is Nora, and Mom says she'll make a Catster page for her soon.

Nora and I love galloping up and down the hallway together. We pretend we're big horsies clip-clopping in a race. Nora likes to play with my tail a lot, too. I pretend like I don't even notice her doing it, but I love to egg her on.
I also love to clean her fur! She gets messy, 'cause she's still a baby. But I take really good care of her, even when she's on my nerves (which is a lot).

Oh, did I mention? I turned the big 3 this year! That means I'm three whole years old, and I've been with Mom over two years. *sigh* What a great two years it has been. Mom says I give her the best hugs and kisses she's ever gotten (which I think makes Jordan jealous, heh heh heh). And I think she's right. I'm pretty darn cute, if I do say so myself.

GUESS WHAT?!

I'm at Grandma's house! She even let me use her computer and everything.
I missed all of my sisters so much! I know they missed me too; they're just really bad at showing it. Lots of hissing and spitting going on, but I know it all comes from a good place. They must just think I have boy cooties or something. Oh well!

I love jumping on the counter here. I get sprayed with gross vinegar-water, but it's worth it if I find a smackeral of something. Today, I was fortunate enough to find a stick of butter! Yum yum!

Oh, oh, wait. I have a good story for you. Lately, I've been so fascinated with the sink at home. No matter what Mom and Dad do, it drains REALLY slowly. So if they brush their teeth (which I don't know why they do it...doesn't everyone want fishy breath like mine?), the sink gets about half full with water that just sits there. It's like a little pool for me! It is much too tempting, so I have to sit on the edge and watch it swirl down that metal drain thing.
Well, Mom thought I just liked to watch it drain, so she was leaving me alone to observe. One night after she brushed her teeth, she let me watch it for a bit, and then she came to get me for bed-snuggle time. I was so excited she picked me up that I put both my paws on the sides of her face and snuggled my whiskers in her nose. Did I mention my face and paws were covered with sink water? She got a big ol' water bath just from my snugglies. I guess she thought it was icky, but I was just trying to spread the love!
Now, I get toweled off every time I go to bed. I don't like that giant towel coming at me, but just like the vinegar-water, it's worth it for a little playtime.

Okay, I have to go find my sisters now and see if they want to play! Who wouldn't want to play with me?!

Just like Christmas!

Today was one of the best days ever!!
I was really sad that Mom and Dad left for a little bit, but I decided to take a snooze. I woke up when they came home, and they brought an entire bag of presents...JUST FOR ME!

I really started purring once I saw my brand new cat collar. I'm a boy with fancy tastes, and Mom finally gave in to get me a collar with diamond studs on it. I am so stylish!! (If you want to see it, go look at my PhotoBook! Mom put a couple of new pictures in there.)

My next present was a neat toy. Well...I think it might be neat. I'm not quite sure about it yet. It's called a "dreamcatcher" toy. Mom is part Native American, so she couldn't resist getting the dreamcatcher toy on a string made just for kitties. It hangs off the door, but it's a little too high. Mom and Dad might just have to help me with it. It's fun anyway!

I thought today felt a lot like Christmas...not just because I got so many presents, but also because Mom bought me...a stocking? I don't know. She said it was on this thing called "clearance." I'm not really sure what that means, but it's pretty darn cute. It also came with toys inside it.

And they saved the best for last...MOUSIES!! I got a whole new pack of my favorite toy in the world! I've already chewed one into a piece of soggy cardboard, but what's new?

Well, furrends, I have to go. My mom left her favorite black coat on the couch, and I have to go take a nap on it. It's got too much black for my liking, so I think I'll add lots of white fur to it! I know she'll love that.

Wow!

Hi furrends!

I can't believe I am Catster Diary of the Day! What an honor. I'm currently chasing my tail in the laundry basket, so I told Mom she could type for me.
She's been treating me extra special for being so cute! I got a brand new mouse to play with, and I've already reduced it to a piece of soggy, chewy cardboard. Yum.
I also got my favorite treats, the seafood mix!! I didn't even have to do tricks to earn them. How great is that?
(Dad just snuck me some of my Greenie treats, too. He said I'm not supposed to tell Mom. But she's typing for me...Ooops.)

I just want to say hi to all my new furrends who found me through Diary of the Day. I can't wait to get to know all of you!
Well, I better get back to munching on my mousie!

Kitty Katch-up

Holy cow! Time has flown by, and my mom hasn't helped me make an entry in a LONG time. I've grown so much in these months, and I'm a pretty good sized kitty. I still make sure to watch my figure though; running around and being wild keep me slim!
I love my home in Mankato, but I also like when I get to go visit Grandma. She has four girl cats, and they are fun to pounce on and play with. I sometimes think they might not like it as much, but who could resist my sweet little face?!
Mom has taught me all sorts of tricks I like to do to get treats. I can give kisses, sit "uppie," shake, and meow on command. I'm smarter than a puppy!
My favorite place to sleep right now is Mom's pillow at night. She doesn't get to have a pillow anymore and has to use the flat bed for her head, but she says that's all right as long as I am close to her.

I went through a couple of phases in the last few months. First, I became obsessed with dropping my toys in my water dish and making them swim around. Then, I would leave them there, so Mom could find a soaked surprise!
After that, I became fascinated with the toilet. It's really neat! It makes this WHOOSH every time someone pulls on the little metal handle, and then the water all swirls around!! I've even gotten my paws in there a couple of times! I guess Mom and Dad don't like that, though, so I'm trying to stay away from there.

I guess that's all I really have to say for now! I'm keeping busy with many catnaps. Time to go sleep in my kitty condo! (It gets nice and warm, because the sun shines in the window onto it. Perfect!)

It's been SO long!

Hi furrends!

It's been such a long time since I last wrote. Things have been really hectic lately. Mom and I moved on August 10th to a whole new town. She has a new apartment that is close to her college. And I have to say, I LOVE IT HERE!! We're up on the second story, so I get to look out all of our windows and keep an eye on everything going on outside. I also have lots of counters to jump up on, so I get in trouble a lot. I know better, but I just love to explore. Mom is getting better at understanding this, except when I sneak snacks from her.
I'm also loving this whole deal, because Mom got a different job, so she's working about 10 hours a week instead of 50! I love having time to take lots of catnaps with her.
Well, that's pretty much all I have to say for today.

Wow!!

Hi everyone!

I was so excited this morning when Mom told me I was a diary pick of the day. I just had to come write an entry.

Well, I've been with my new family for almost a month now. It's gone by so quickly, I can't even believe it.
At my new house, I live with four other cats. They're all girls, and they get a little...moody sometimes. I think they must think I have cooties or something, because they bat and hiss at me a lot. Sometimes, I think they're playing, so I'll chase them, but then I learn my lesson as soon as they growl at me. I just can't understand why they don't want to play with me! I've never so much growled or taken a swing at them. Oh well. Hopefully they'll get used to me.
Mom says we won't be living there much longer. Only two more months. I'm not really sure how long a month is...but it can't be too long. I think I'll be sad to go, but I'm excited to see my next home. Mom goes to a school for people, and it's called "College." She takes classes, so she can learn how to be a teacher. Can you believe that?! I wish I could learn to be a teacher!! Then I could teach those silly girl kitties that boy kitties don't have cooties.

I suppose I should be off for my catnap. Just another lazy Monday.

Hi friends!!

Right now, I'm sitting in my pretty red basket in my mom's room. It's my favorite place to sit, but sometimes I don't like being on the floor, so mom brings it up to the bed next to her.
I have a new habit that mommy discovered. I love to stare at myself in the mirror. Sometimes, I get ready to pounce at that kitty on the other side. Other times, I just tell that guy how incredibly dashing and handsome he is. He never talks back though. It's strange, really.
Well, I suppose I should take my catnap. It's way past my bed time.

Oh, and thanks to everybody for all the birthday wishes! You cool cats really helped make my day special.

It's my birthday, and I'll eat if I want to!!

Well, it's my big day. I'm finally one year old. It's been a fun year, I guess. I'm still learning all the rules, but I'm finding out how much fun it can be to be a kitty.
I haven't been fed yet this morning. What's up with that?

Hi. Today, I've been with my new family for two weeks and a day. I like it so much better than my foster home, because I get lots of attention.
I tend to get myself into many places where I shouldn't be, but I'm learning the rules. After all, I'm just a baby still, so I don't know any better.
