Arrival Story: We already had Isis' sister Stormy, but Isis & Coleman were going to be sent to the pound. My husband & I took her and her brother in as well. They hid under the basement stairs in a hole in the wall for two days.

Bio: She's a sweetie, but her claws are little sabers. Isis is more cat-like than our other two. She's very vocal like Siamese. And finicky. She's also very high strung and chews the hair around her tail when she's upset. Poor honey
Isis was put to sleep January 1, 2012 due to her months-long battle with stomach cancer. She had her thyroid removed in May and was doing great. In August, I noticed she was getting thinner and took her to my dad who is our vet. He thought at first it might be her thyroid, but that was fine. He did some exploratory surgery and found a growth where her esophagus meets her stomach, a very bad place for removal.
He gave her some steroids and she came home at the end of September. My husband and I went away in December and my friend who takes care of them said she was great, no changes. A couple of days later I noticed that she seemed to be getting thinner again and took her in. I'd also noticed some blood that had been thrown up and that's never good. She also stopped eating again.
At first, she'd lost 2 pounds that she can't afford to lose, but when we took her back in November for a checkup and she had gained back pretty much all of the weight. When I took her back two weeks ago, she had lost that weight. When we weighed her last Tuesday, she weighed 7 pounds. Today, just over 6.
She was a trooper and although it was sad, it was really the only option to keep her from suffering any longer.
She will be missed.

Pic: Yayay! I'm a bit shy, but recently, my mom had a friend over and I knew she was really nice so I let her pet me. Before I leave my mom & dad's room at night (dad won't let me stay), I have to have a pet and I also need a pet to make sure they love me before I go outside. Love ME!!!

It's Monday night and there's no yummy food. Rowwwrr. I hate them. Mommy put out crunch treats, but those aren't any old thing. How can they be so mean. They aren't here all day waiting around for yummy delicious food. They're out who knows where and when they come home all they do is go on some weird maching they can't turn away from. I try to get onto mommy's lap, but there's some thing that has pretty pictures on it...of course, of me!
Gotta love me!!!
