N seh sed YESH!!!! O happeh dai!! Not onli dat but when weh were awl at da top of da Empyre State Bldg, Osh asked Sugar 2 marreh him n seh said YESH!!! Weh r gonna haf a double weddin'!!! Ohhhhhh yesh, n den...right b4 efurrone left, LB surprised meh n announced dat AI am da Honrareh Engineer of da month!!!! Ai had NO idea!!! Ai lurves October!!! Tis sew excitin!! What a day and it's only beginning!!

Dear Diary,

So far this day has been purrfect and to top it off I get to go to a sing-a-long this afternoon where my Purrincess is featured on the Ragtime Piano!! So we will get to sing together, which I always love to do - and hang out with all our furiends!! Ohhhhh I can't wait!

I put out breakfast in the coffee shop this morning for efurrpurr and fixed LB a vanilla latte no foam, like she likes but I did use just a little foam to make a heart on top of it! I don't think she minded too much... *grin*

Then, while we were hanging out in the coffee shop this morning, LB & Sugar (LB's sisfur) disappeared for a few minutes and came back carrying a HUGE box and LB said it was fur ME!!! So I craftily used my nail to carefully cut all the tape and inside was...

a THRONE!!! It is PAWSOME! You can see it on my page with LB and me napping on it, dear Diary!!

Of course I asked my purrincess to join me in testing it out immediately and it is soooo royal and comfy!! (especially with my purrincess right beside me!)

As I told my Purrincess Bit, she is the bestest!!!!!! There is nothing I would rather do than snuggle with her on our throne! :D Ohhhhhhhhh - I'm soo happy!!! *huge grin*

Vet check-up

Dear Diary,

Meowee! I weigh 11 pounds, only 1 pound less than Oshii (at least his weight when he went to the Vet 2 months ago)!! Everything checked out great and overall I was a purrty good boy. I talked and sang the whole way to the vet (a little over 20 minutes). I have to admit that we had only been in the car for a few minutes when I first started panting - I thought Mom might leave me there! That's stressful!!!!

Mom thought I must weigh much less than Oshii because I'm such a skinny boy but I am also very solid and long - ALL muscle!! However, when she picked me up in the carrier to go out the door she did notice that I wasn't that light feeling. Knowing I weigh more than Mom thought makes me feel better prepared to protect my Purrincess LB!! No one will mess with this long ball of muscle!! ME-OW!!! MOL

After the Tech weighed me and took my temperature and test stuff - as soon as I got back in the exam room - I jumped through a hole in the cabinet and stayed there until the Vet came in and got me out to do my check-up and give me my shots. Mom kept looking in the hole to check on me and seeing my shiny eyes looking out at her (there was nothing in the cabinet) and occasionally she would say my name from where I couldn't see her and I would answer! The first two shots were normal and I didn't flinch and my skin didn't even jump - BUT the third one made a loud noise and I didn't like it and I HISSED!!! (Just like I do at Oshii when he bites me too hard...)

On the way home I relaxed in the carrier (see pic) and only meowed every now and then - no more stressing out! Mom was taking me home with her! Oh happy day!!

Oh yes, the thing that I did better than Oshii was as soon as we got in the exam room I came out of the carrier and went exploring!! Oshii wouldn't come out and the Tech had to take the top off the carrier and lift him out!! I may have started panting WAY sooner than Oshii did (he started when they were about to turn onto the street where the vet is - less than a block away) but I did NOT refuse to come out of the carrier!

I got compliments for being beautiful and having such deep blue eyes!! Well, I am back on Mom's lap now at home and all is well!

Oh and Diary, I am so excited about the Valentine dance AND Valentine's day!!!! Oh boy! Mom took pictures of me in my tie for the dance and other special occasions and got several different good ones!!! How to choose?? Gee, and I thought Halloween and Christmas were fun, but this is even BETTER!

The love bug bit me!!!

Dear Diary,

I always thought that I was immune to that love bug - and that it was yucky to be in love. Boy, was I WRONG!!

All it took was a little prick from Cupid's love arrow and I saw her like I never had before - and she is one of my furry best furriends, too!!! I guess you know, Diary, that it is the most beautiful LB who has changed my mind about love! (You know since she has appeared in my Valentine!) Once she went on that first magic carpet ride with me (while we were waiting for our King Cake to bake), my magic carpet just looked too empty without her so she just had to be in my valentine, as well as BE my valentine!

I even asked her to a Valentine's dance - and she said YES!! She told me that I captured her heart - and Diary, I just want you to know that I am going to hold onto it tight and take the furry best care of it!! I know it is a precious commodity and I am honored to give her my own heart, too!!

So, LB - now my diary and you both know that MY HEART IS YOURS!

Diary, we just have soo much fun together and also share peaceful quiet times when we know what each other are thinking and no meows are necessary. Though we do like to meow too, MEOW!

"chip"

Dear Diary,

A little while ago Mom was eating "lunch" and she dropped this thing she refers to as a "chip," well actually just a small piece of one on the floor! I was on it right away - and this time she did not take it away!!! I sniffed it and licked it and ate it up! Then I loved on the floor where it was for a while and licked my lips. I am always hanging around Mom anyway, but I will be more attentive when I hear the crackle of the "chip" bag - and just hope that it happens again!

Pawscript - The other morning I hopped up on the counter and got to lick a tiny taste of cream cheese again! (Before Mom discovered and made me get down, like I am supposed to stay...) It is sooo yummy. Now I will add "chip" to the yummy list. But Mom says that I am not allowed to eat human food - we'll see about that!!! I'm just a little guy, after all!

I was caught red-tongued, well white-tongued!

Dear Diary,
Happy Mew Year! This morning Mom was having a bagel with cream cheese on it and she left the kitchen with the second half of it nicely spread with cream cheese. So guess who hopped up on the counter, where kitties are not supposed to be?? That's right, ME!!! Mom came back in the room and I was licking away at the cream cheese and BOY WAS IT YUMMY! Mom didn't get mad, she just exclaimed my name and picked me up and put me on the floor, where I happily proceeded to lick my lips until I had savored it as long as I could! Yum yum. She will have to keep an extra close watch on that cream cheese in the future because I have opened "Pandora's box" as they say! MOL!!! Hope everyone is enjoying 2008 so far!

In Loving Memory of Ruby

Dear Diary,
Today a meezer buddy of ours, Ruby, went to the Bridge at the young age of three (same age that Kibo died, Mom's first cat). Young angels are needed too, but that certainly doesn't make the loss to the rest of us any easier! I am purrrring for Ruby's family and all of her other friends - and Louis, her love. Rest in Peace sweet Ruby, your body doesn't have to fight anymore! Purrrrrs for comfort in the mew year...

The view out the window right now is windy - there is a cold front blowing in. I have been watching out the windows most of the day. Purrrrrs to efurcat who is traveling or having visitors for the holiday. Also, continued special purrrs (joining with Oshii) for Ruby, Athena, and their families. In sum, Meowy CATmas and Happy MEW Year 2008! (I do not have to get my check-up at the Vet for a couple more months but I might not be calm like Oshii was, it sounds scary to me! I will not think about it yet because I might get nervous! - I'll report on that after it's over.)
