Arrival Story: Hi everyone, this handsome and sweet cat showed up in my back yard on Monday, May 15, 2007. I let Nigel outside for one of his outdoor adventures that morning and I went to check on him. I didn't see Nigel at first, but this kitty walked out of the bushes in our back yard. He had an old, raggy black collar on but no tag. He is sooo sweet and gentle. You can pick him up and carry him around. He's already been neutered--yay!--but I'm not sure how old he is. I posted flyers in the neighborhood and no one claimed him. I drove around the neighborhood and I didn't seen any lost cat flyers. I even went to the Petsmart down the street to talk to the volunteers of a local rescue. I have no idea of where he came from but he decided he liked it here so he stayed! (I got attached to him too). I thought he looked like a Charlie so I picked that name for him. We just moved a month earlier into this house (a friend's house) from an apartment in Fort Worth. I guess all the stray kitties know where to find me! Now we tell everyone we have 6 cats. :)
Bio: Mom took my old, raggy collar off and put a collar and a name tag on me! She says I'm such a good boy! Update: I lost two collars and tags! Mom has no idea where they went. mol

Hiya Catsters! Mom was mowing the front yard today and she decided I needed some new spring pics! So check 'em out! I helped her out in the yard today. She was working in the flowerbeds and I stayed right with her while she was doing her work. After she cut the grass, I went under the nice and shady peach tree in the front yard. Do you know that in twelve more days that I will be in my new home for a year?! Wowza! Mom still doesn't know where I came from or what my story is, but she sure is glad that I showed up in her yard that lovely day in May. You can see on the right side of my face where I my fur is still short from when I had that nasty abcess. But all is better now and my fur is growing back!
Meow at y'all later, mom is going to take some more pics and maybe a new spring video! Woo hoo!
Wow, I already had an exciting morning! The nice lady came out this morning to see me and I was not in the bushes where I usually stay. Then all of a sudden she heard a meow and looked around but could not see me. So I kept meowing to get her attention and she finally saw me! I was stuck up on the roof of the house. There is a tree next to the house and that is how I got up there. Woe is me! She looked in the garage and there was no ladder. Then she thought of an idea! She got a dining room chair and brought it outside, but it wasn't tall enough. She went back inside and got an old metal stool from the garage. She put the stool next to the chair and stepped on the chair and then the stool. But the stool wasn't tall enough for her to reach me! So she went back inside again and got a plastic tool box of some sorts and put it on top of the stool. She propped the stool and the box next to a metal shelving unit. So she climbed the stool and she was high enough to reach me. I wasn't so sure about this! She pet me to give me some confidence and she gently grabbed me by the front leg. I didn't even hiss or btie. She grabbed me and set me on top of the metal shelf and I jumped down onto the grass. Both of us were so relieved! I'm never going to go up on the roof again!
