Squirrel's Adventures
A Special MomentNovember 18th 2012 1:20 pm[ View A Comments (9) ] Mom was having trouble sleeping so she got up early and put on a movie. I got on her lap and kneaded and purred for her. The sun eventually came up and I perked up when I saw a big bird land in our maple tree. It was a pileated woodpecker. We had a really good look at it. Brilliant red markings. Mom wanted to get her camera but didn't want to uproot me. So we just enjoyed the moment together.
Those types of woodpeckers are SO BIG! I am glad they don't drill on my head, MOL! They are beautiful birds, we see them a few times a year. Yup ... When I got all excited about it Mom told me that it would not be wise for me to tangle with it. Wow, I've never seen one of those. But it sounds like a great time with ur Mom..That's special too! :) That's the way to spend time together. Love it enjoy. ooooo, we don't have those around here. But Mom and Dad saw them in Florida..they are huge. Aren't some of the most unexepected moments the best ? The secret of happy is to enjoy those cuddle times and to appreciate what is around you. Sometimes it's good to let the birds be - especially if they are big and have tough beaks! I love snuggles on my mum's lap too. Purrs Josie How cool! You are so right everyone! It was a cool and special moment. (And Kitcat missed the whole thing, ha, ha!) And I did some chattering at it and made Mom laugh. What a nice moment to share! I love hearing about activities that humans and kitties can enjoy together, like birdie watching. BTW, thanks fur the yummy slice of pumpkin pie! |
