Mom has a friend that she only knows over the internet. Her and her roommate had a kitty who just passed from, basically, old age. Mom was hoping they would get another kitty but didn't say that in case they weren't ready. Well, yesterday, they rescued an adult cat from a shelter and brought her home. Her name is Tammy and she looks like a Norwegian Forest Cat. She was a very unhappy cat after being given up by her people just because they started having a human family. She had been at the shelter for 8 months and barely moved from a corner of her lodging because she was so depressed and didn't get along with other kitties. Well, Mom's friend's roommate, after searching several shelters for her furry soulmate, connected with her and she now has a wonderful home with two loving humans to look after her. She has settled in nicely and is enjoying lap sitting, snooping and playing. Oh, and she has just the longest whiskers ever! I thought I had long whiskers ... Here is her picture:
Tha's so nice fur Tammy. 'at's kinda like how my "elderwise" kitty furriend, Natalie finded her home. Her peeples seed she's so sad an' jus' coulnant leaf her at the shelter.
How lovely fur her to be in a nice loving new home...furevfur!
She sure is a purrty kitty!
Thank you Ingen & Pipo for the comments ...
Mom was sooo happy because she just knows this kitty deserved a good home and also knows that she will help mend broken hearts. Sometimes people feel so sad they just cannot bring themselves to taking in another kitty. But Mom believes that the love someone had for the previous kitty can and should be shared. I know that Lucky was happy for us when we took in Kitcat. And Kitcat did help mend our broken hearts over the loss of my sister Lucky. The more you hurt over the loss of your little fur friend, the better suited you are to love and be there for another. Mom learned from Fuzzy & Peaches how to be a better pet owner. So, it is like Fuzzy & Peaches paid it forward to me, Lucky and Kitcat. We really like the idea of "paying it forward".
So nice for kitty!!! she is a sweetie!!
She does have super-long whiskers! Glad she found her furever home!
We are anxious to hear more about her and maybe get more pictures of her in her new home.
What a beautiful cat! We are so happy that she has a loving home - and will be helping heal the hearts of good people who will still be missing their old cat. She is lucky to have found a goodly home and they are lucky to have her. Thank you for sharing this story. Purrs Toby and Josie
