Mom just got back from walking Lobo. I was at the door begging for my leash walk. SInce, I had already had one, and Mom needed to get ready for work, I didn't get a second one. Oh well, I tried. Then, I ran behind the entertainment unit. Mom thought that was weird. She went to the fridge to get my Fancy Feast treat and I came running for that. I gobbled it up and then ran behind the TV again. Mom has learned to observe us and trust our instincts so, she followed me. I was looking from her face to a spot in the floor (where years ago, mice tried to get into our living room and had started to chew mouse holes), and back again. She then got busy moving furniture so she could give me more space to work! I showed her about 5 more times that something was going on in between our upstairs floor and our downstairs ceiling. She totally believes me. We both wish I had my sister Lucky to help take care of this latest invasion. But, today, it will be up to me and that airhead Kitcat. So, for now, Mom set up her humane mouse trap and is counting on me to make sure things don't get out of paw (hand) while she is at work. The really cool thing is that Kitcat & I might be able to hunt mice in our own home! That was so fun for Lucky and I years ago. Mom made a video about our hunting mice in the house and saving us all from a mouse infestation.
Lucky & I Take Care of a Mouse Invasion
So you will all understand if we may be a bit busy for the next little while.
Happy Mouse Hunting Day? Woops, I mean, Happy Mother's Day!
OMC! We had to do that fur our furmily a little while ago, we had a mouse in the house, too! Hope you can oust them soon! Have some fun at the same time!
Pipo & Minko
Thanks Pipo! I'm still on duty while Kitcat is oblivious. But, if I do catch a mousie, just watch Kitcat change her tune and become interested all of a sudden! Mom might have to dig out her old camera, because it has night vision. You know how the mousies like to move around at night. This was also a good excuse to get Mom to dust out that corner of our living room and grandpa's chair.
But it is for sure true that without qualified kitties around, mice could become a huge problem for our humans.
You get him Squirrel! You're clearly the hunter in the family. Your meowmy is so smart to listen to you! She deserves this mother's day!
Thank you so much Lacey! You really made my Mommy feel good. I will keep you all posted on what happens next. If the mouse is smart, it will just find its way back outside.
We have learned quickly that your momma is a smart cookie and knows that you kitties are the brains of the outfit! MOL! Happy hunting!
You'll have to train Kitcat to be a lean, mean mousing machine like you! It sounds like a challenge, but you can do it! BTW,Happy Mother's Day to your Mom!
I have such good friends! Thank you.
I am about to post a photo of the hummer that has been coming by ...
You are a true mouser my friend, go get em.
You go get em, Squirrel! Just be careful of those Hantavirus mousies. Gunnie and I told mama there was a mousie in the cupboard once. She did not let us chase him, but he is goned now... We got lots of praise for tattling on him, though.
Cool! Hunting! but what is hantavirus? I'll need to google that...
Wows! I'm so jealous! I want to hunt mice too, but I never get the chance. All my mousies are mouse toys.
