GREAT NEWS!!!May 1st 2011 2:38 pm[ View A Comments (9) ] We got a hummer!!! I was eating my Fancy Feast in the kitchen, and Mom was on my computer, and she got up to stretch and saw a tiny little hummingbird at the feeder!!! We so hope that we can get some video if it comes back! For now, we won't disturb them. We are so excited! It really is spring. I barely saw it but Mom assured me that it will probably come back and bring some friends!
You are so lucky to have a hummer, I bet you are having fun just watching it . Wow!!! All we get are finches, grackles and the occasional robin and oriole!! That's so exciting! We have a rabbit that looks in our windows! Spring is here for sure! When you said "hummer" at first Mom thought you meant a vehicle! MOL A hummingbird is much better than a hummer anyway. :) Love, Tigger Gotta love watching those birds! Very cool! 'Hummers' are so much fun to watch...and to listen to , also! They buzz like huge bees, and they make lots of fight noises, too, when they get feisty and territorial. We saw one this day, too...also the first of the spring! Hooray fur Spring! Neat! I've never seen a hummingbird. My mom has. She said they are very small and pretty. We have hummingbirds here,& Dad put up a nectar feeder for them,but no takers yet. Maybe when the Morning Glories get flowering regularly they will attract them. It's cool that you got one. |
