We just posted this cartoon for our cartoon group:
Door To Door Salesmen Cartoon
The cartoon was based on a true story. Mom took me for my leash walk last Saturday. There were 2 door to door sales people coming towards us and they laughed and commented on Mom walking "a cat" on a leash and how cute it was. They were still about 50 feet away. Mom said, "Careful, don't spook her, she is feral." Much to Mom's surprise, they respectfully stopped in their tracks and left a pamphlet on our driveway so as not to "spook" me! That was very nice of them to respect me that way. And Mom was thankful to have avoided a big long sales pitch! So it was sort of a true story! Mom gave me extra pets and thanked me for being me!
That is sooo funny!!! Does it work??? we'll try it with Blizzard!!
MOL good thinking.
I had been begging all morning for my leash walk so Mom would have been very disappointed if these people had kept coming and spooked me back into the house after finally hooking me up and taking me out. She was very appreciative of them for handling it the way they did and then had to laugh about how it was that she avoided the usual 15 minutes of listening about something she had no interest in. Might not work with really pushy people. For that, Mom would have to go out the front door with Lobo on a leash and pretend she could barely restrain him. MOL!
That's so funny, Mom ought to try it with Diamond but there wouldn't be any pretending, cause Diamond loves to run up to people to say hey. She failed meet and greet in puppy school.
They were very nice about it. Cool.
I scared off a Jehovah's Witness before. Momma had already been politely listening to him for 5 minutes when I decided to slip out onto the porch and start rummaging through his bag. He got REALLY upset and grabbed his bag and left. (Momma wants to know what he had in there!)
I consider it payback for the time some other Jehovah's Witnesses asked if I was Rufus' "little mother." *growl*
How kewl is that you walk on a leash. I just lay there when my mommy puts me on one. You are one kewl cat.
I really do walk on a leash! Yet my sister Lucky would not. Mom didn't train Kitcat for it as I keep her plenty busy by begging to go out.
I get that too. Everybody stops & stares when they see me on my leash & harness. Like they never saw a cat on a leash before. Don't these people have something else to do?
