We were out in the cat run, longer than usual. Mom came to check on us and I pointed to her that there was a little chickadee just above me! It looked like it might be looking for a home! So, Mom got out her tools and quickly made up what she hopes might work as a bird house for a chickadee. Let us cross our paws and hope the little bird makes a nest there. They eat bugs, are polite, are cute and tiny, and make nice sounds. It won't be in any danger from us as we have a chicken wire top to our cat run.
Chickadees are pawsome, we get all kinds of cool birds like that here in the spring to our feeders. Nuthatches are also really neat and sing beautiful. They're super fast!
We sooooo hope that a little chickadee family will like Mom's goofy idea of a house for them! If so, you will hear about it. We love the gentle little nuthatches! Thank you Lacey for understanding how kitties can admire and appreciate birdies.
That's our favorite thing to do in the world Squirrel! Finally mommy can open the windows enough for us to sit and watch them. She put out the birdbath in the yard yesterday and not five minutes later there was a pool party in it! MOL! We love that, it's so cool. She puts sunflower seeds and raw peanuts in a tray and watches all the blue jays come swooping in to get them! They sit right over on the stair railing under the window and crack 'em open. It's so much fun! Mom love to watch with us. We had a cardinal singing at the feeder the other day, BEAUTIFUL!
Yes! Right on Lacey!
We love those teeny birds, too. Titmouse birds are really pretty, too, and they can sing nicely, too. The cardinals wake us up now, evfurry morning with their cheerio songs.
Enjoy your birds!
We hope Mom did it right and made a good and safe house for birdies! Titmouse birdies sound super cute! Our hummer feeder is out and we are anxious to see if we get any coming to it?
I love looking at chickadees with their cute black caps! They come to the window feeder all the time, but they are so fast that every time I jump up to look, they are already gone! And yeah, titmouse birds do have such cute songs! They are cute and fast too. When my mom was younger, she and Grandpa built birdhouses. The first one they built was really big, and these 2 squirrels kicked out the birds and lived in it themselves. It was pretty funny.
I love birdie watching - not as much as birdie killing, but since I'm an indoor-only girl now, birdie watching is all I get to do.
We don't have chickadees down here,we have cardinals, redwing blackbirds & blue jays at our feeder. And ringnecked doves & mourning doves come by to eat the stuff the other birds spill on the ground. Mouse tries to hunt the doves! She sneaks up ever so carefully, but she never can catch one. They're almost as big as she is anyway!
That little birdie sounds so cute, I hope he likes his new home.
