The plan was that I would celebrate my birthday later, due to Mom working all day on my birthday. We sort of did celebrate the next day but not enough, I think. In fact, I got nothin'! I didn't even get the white mouse. Mom got too involved with her Canuck game. She was on the edge of my chair while they came back from 2-0 to beat the Avalanche 4-2.
Anyhow, today, just now, she said, "Happy Birthday Squirrel!". Guess what my big present was? A completely clean and unsoiled litter box. I'm thinking, well that is sort of nice, but isn't this more of a gift to my Mom's sensitive nose than to my nose? Which is totally accustomed to Kitcat's stink? What kind of a present is that? It will take Kitcat one minute to ruin it.
So, I would like for my friends to vote on this...
Vote Yes, if you think it is a good birthday gift.
Vote No, if you think it stinks as a birthday gift.
Vote Undecided, if you are not sure about this as a gift for my 8th birthday.
My answer is a big fat NO!!!!! You should atleast get some nip!!!
I gotta say no...it sounds like both Kitcat & Sobe can both take perfectly good cat food & process it into the vilest stink imaginable! P.U.!!!!
I say No! A clean box is a basic right, not a birthday present!
A resounding NO.
A specimen like you deserves something very special for their birthday.
NO! NO! NO!
Now, tell Mom to go out now and get you some treats!!
Thank you kitties! So far 5 big NO's!!!!
LOL yes it'll sure stink after you use it.
No! No! My ____ doesn't stink! What is your vote Mr. D?
NO! No way is that a proper birthday gift!
We shall have to say NO!
You gotta have at least one REAL purrsent!
BTW: Yeah Mom, for your Canucks...
Meowmy's neice in North Vancouver is the goalie for that city's pee-wee girls Hockey team...called the Avalanche...and they won, (1-0)...so now they are off to the finals in Clearwater...go girls!
You might be able to see a video clip here:
North Vancouver peewee girls hockey final game
PeeS: Tell your mom that purrsents for birthdays need to be wrapped to make them authentic!
Way to go for your niece and her team! A shutout! The clip was pawsome!
Mom plays rec hockey. She is really old and slow but still loves hockey. Clearwater is very close to where we live! Go Avalanche GO!
And thanks for the vote in regards to my "birthday present"!
So far, 7 No's, and no yes's or undecideds. Ha, ha!
I know I did get the white mouse since I wrote this diary entry. And yes, I do know it is lost under some heavy furniture. But still!!!
I'm voting NO. You need some better gifts. The white mouse is a good start, but I still say MORE!
That's a terrible b'day gift! Surely your mom is just joking around and she has an extra-special b'day gift to give you this weekend!
Yay! Thank you Jezebel! That makes 8 No's! I guess Mom will have to go shopping!
Thank you Hilda! That makes 9 No's and for sure now Mom will have to do something better.
No! You should get an "IOU" from your mom! to be redeemed at any time day or night! okay, maybe that's going a bit far. but you should definitely be owed at least a special meal or toy!
Toki! You are number 10!
Kitcat and I have been talking and we think that you have a very good idea. Kitcat's birthday is coming up next month. Our climbing cat tree is in very rough shape. We are thinking that, purrhaps, Mom should replace it with a new one. It costs lots of money but we think it is worth it. We play and scratch on it every day. It is almost $100 to get a new one. That is if Mom can find one again. Plus, maybe, we could have 2 of them for a while?
Squirrel,Make me #11 and I agree the tree sounds like a great idea!
#12! Go Squirrel!!
Lucky #13!!! Good luck Squirrel.
I think you deserve a new tree!! I got a giftie that has been claimed by Teddy,(see his main pic)
I am not even home yet.
We will have to see about that, eh?
This is great! 13 no's!
LOL you can make that 14 no's from the cats point of view. But from the humans... the L box can be a toy at first, or a bed then when they are sick of it. Like what happens to all new things it can put put to a good use. Hey that's a practical thing to do..lol this is how humans think. lol.
Ignore the human it's a no from me too, you need something with really really smelly cat nip. MOL
Yay! That makes .... er ... um ... 15 no's!!!!
Mom and I just watched the movie 127 hours. Oh my ... That young man is amazing.
Yea, Squirrel. We watched that movie the other day. Mom hid her face in my fur when he cut his own arm off. Yikes! What's even more amazing, the move is based on a true story..
True story for sure. That has to be the survival story of the century. God bless Aron Ralston for having the strength to survive this and tell his story to the world. Mom has the book and will forever think of Aron whenever she is faced with a tough decision.
NNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ! Mom owes you lots of smoochies too!
16!!! 16 no's.
Thank you Angel Amelia!!! Mom said that she looked at the Zeller's store today for a new cat tree but said they were all out. Should I believe her???
This has actually been a super fun birthday because all my friends are going to bat for me in my birthday present vote. Love you all!
Wow! What a lot of votes in your favour...MOL!
Hey! Meowmy's niece's pee-wee hockey team are the Provincial Champions! They are so happy!
Purrs that you get your purrsent soon!
Way to go girls!!! We are happy for them!
Still no big present, but I know Mom loves me.
I think she should have at least got you a mousie or bag of treats! Gooooo Canucks!!!!
I eventually did get a new, white toy mousie. Kitcat & I lost it in 5 minutes. Oh well, whenever we eventually find it, it will be like new! Thanks Mr. Sam.
It's probably under the refrigerator! MOL!
We found it! Mom isn't sure where we found it but we showed up with it just now. She thinks we found it in a closet. Kitcat & I took a little snooze with it and Mom got a picture of that. I'm sure she will eventually post it.
