Squirrel's Adventures
It was close!!!July 5th 2010 10:40 am[ View A Comments (6) ] I almost caught a bird. Mom was taking me for my daily leash walk. She was half asleep, but I wasn't. I led her to the cedar bushes and nosed around in there. Then, all of a sudden, a little bird popped out! I even touched it! I swiped at it as it flew by and touched it!!! I threw it off enough that it landed a dozen feet away before hopping around a bit and then finally flying up to a tree squawking at me the whole way. Mom thinks it was a baby bird and not that good at flying yet. Well it sure learned how to fly today!
That birdie got his adrenaline high...fur sure! You must have been chattering your teeth with drooling anticipation...MOL! Mom sure wishes she could handle me on a leash and run her camera at the same time. We have had some fun times on my leash walks. That stinks that you missed it! Maybe you'll get the next one! I caught a Catbird & a young Blue Jay so far. Dad always tells me to leave the birds be,but I can't resist. Good job on Allll-most getting that bird! Yeah,those stupid birds will squawk at you. I have these little wrens that squawk at me,even when I'm just lying on the patio,minding my business. Dad allowed them to raise a brood in the old gas grill,so now there'll be more to squawk! You'll get it next time!! I like to tell my mum what the birds are up to and any day now I'm really going to catch one. Purrs and a headrub Josie |
