For all the lovely gifts. We didn't know about them since our mail is still not working.
The gift mail worked for our dogs. Why doesn't it work for us kitties?

Mom's sister Lilian and her share the same date of birth but 9 years apart.
Auntie is a very talented person. She lost her voice years ago due to a growth in her neck area that had to be removed. She has worked really hard at getting some of her voice back. It is so lovely to hear her singing again. And, her kitty Sammy, seems to enjoy it too ...

Sammy was rescued by her.

This is too much. We really wanted to stay in touch but can't. Someone wake us up if it ever starts working again.

The butterfly did make it! Mom let us play with it even though it isn't quite my birthday yet. As promised, here is the Youtube video:

I'm Nervous ...

Before I explain that, Mom wants me to tell you that we lost our internet provider for 5 days. So we have been silent and not been able to participate for that time.

Now, why I am nervous ...
My butterfly toy was due to arrive in the mail any day. Then, on the news we heard that a big postal semi-trailer full of mail coming this way, flipped over into a creek, split open and dumped some of the mail into the creek. (Driver was okay.) A lot of the mail will be getting wet and some will be swept down the stream.
Meanwhile, the people who run the big machines needed to pull the truck out of there refuse to do it. Because, they said, our postal company owed them money from several previous jobs and they were tired of waiting to be paid.
I'm nervous because perhaps my toy was on there?

Mom says the chances of my toy being on that truck are slim. But if it did happen, the company that we ordered it from would probably send us another one.

Hopefully we will get it before my birthday. My big One-Oh is in just over two weeks.

I know what I'm getting for my Birthday!!!

We just watched this cute video. And, around 1:40 in, there is the most amazing toy!
That is what I am getting. That butterfly toy.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UzyObWRHSrw

It isn't really a cat toy, it is for yard and garden. But it sure looks like a cat toy to me! Of course, I will let Kitcat play with it too.

It is called the
"Fascinations Solar Butterfly"

We Are Back!

A long time ago, we complained that we hadn't gotten our Christmas presents yet. We finally got them in late January, but we couldn't tell you much about them because Mom was so sick she couldn't type for us. Plus she wanted to get video of them and us and was too sick to even try to do that.
Well they, and we, are too fast for good photos or videos so we decided to tell about them now anyway.
What we got was a pack of 4 wind up toy mice!!!! A white one, a grey one, a brown one and a black one.
When we first saw them, we were shocked as they were huge!!! They looked more like rats than mice. And they move fast. And while they move, their tails spin around. So we are having lots of fun with them. We call them our rats, instead of our mice. Mom managed to get these two photos today:

Our Christmas Toy

Mouse or Rat?

And this is what we got and where we got it from:

Thank you everyone for purring for our Mommy while she was so sick.
Love,
Squirrel & Kitcat

Not getting our mail.
I hope we don't have to go through months of this again.
Come on Catsters! What is going on? We emailed you twice and got no reply.
This might be the end of us being involved with what was once such a wonderful place to be. We are just too weary to figure out what is wrong and try and resolve it yet again.

We still don't have our Christmas presents ... So Mom brought in an icicle for us to play with. Hmmm. We were not too impressed.
Look at our birdie feeder! It is full of icicles!!!

Hey! We were still looking at our icicle when Lobo came in the house and ATE IT!!!

We Got Nothing for Christmas ...

No presents ... no special treats ... Nothing.
But we did get nice gifts and messages from our Catster friends.
And we did get lots of attention and play time and even visitors! We were little angels when we had visitors. Instead of hiding, we came out to be petted and admired.
I woke up Mom every time she slept too long. She really liked that. Ha, ha!!!
But, Mom did say, she had ordered us some special toys but they didn't get here on time. They were on "backorder" whatever that means. So we should have a surprise coming soon.
And it is very white and Christmassy outside, and not too cold.
All in all, it was a very nice Christmas for us all. Lobo got some nice walks in the snow. He couldn't come into our living room as he was not able to do the stairs. He can usually do the deck stairs, but they are all iced over and too dangerous right now. But he has come in the basement and Mom was able to give him lots of attention since she had two days off.
Merry Christmas to all of our friends and a Happy New Year!
