The time has finally arrived. Melody and I are going to be spayed/neutered on Thursday, September 13th. As part of the "kitten package" our vet offers, Melody and I had to have bloodwork done prior to surgery. Melody's results came out fine but guess what? I tested positive for.......HEARTWORM! Heartworm is found in dogs more often than cats. The mosquitoe must have gotten confused and jumped on me instead. I have no symptoms of not feeling well, but Dr. Wong had my blood further checked and called today to say I am okay so I can proceed with my neuter surgery, but it is worrisome so we'll have to keep on top of it.

I'm not looking forward to surgery but we all know we can't let Melody have babies and I can't help her have any either!!
