indoors Arrival Story: My husband and I rescued Enzo and his three sisters and one brother from a neighbor's backyard on April 28, 2007 and nicknamed them the Furbies. Enzo was the very first kitten to come out of the bushes where he and his family were originally living. He has a photo in his Photo Book that shows how I lured him out from the bushes with canned food. Their momma cat is a tuxedo cat that another neighbor (and our cat-sitter) tried to trap but was unable to. Momma cat was a good mother who kept her babies in good health. Bio: All the kittens were so adorable when we brought them home, but there was something special about Enzo right from the start. He warmed up to me immediately and was so relaxed and calm. His personality reminded me alot of Riley. But, I kept those feelings to myself because I knew I had to concentrate on getting them in to see the vet and finding them great permanent homes where they would get all the love and attention they deserved. Secretly, I prayed that no one would be interested in Enzo, and no one was. So here he stayed, along with his sister Melody! Lives Remaining: 9 of 9 Forums Motto: Vrrrooom!!
I've been admiring THOMAS' cool chair that he got for his Gotcha Day!
It's from IKEA, and okay, it's really designed for human kids but put a pad on the seat and I see a comfy nap spot! We saw on the IKEA website that it comes in orange too.
Mom would like one in each color, but Dad won't let her go to the IKEA store because of it's location. He said her car will be hijacked! With Dad working six days a week he's not interested in being a bodyguard either.
Thank you for the gifts and messages to honor my Gotcha Day!
Reebok and Nike just celebrated their Gotcha days yesterday but it was two years earlier. Mom and Dad will never forget the day they rescued us from the neighbor's backyard down the street.
Anyway, we got some new water bowls for downstairs today. Our water bowls upstairs have been in a room with a pet gate so the dogs would never be able to get to our food. We had water bowls downstairs but they were put up on the kitchen counter.
Mom felt it was time for the cats to have water bowls downstairs on the floor so she bought us a couple of raised bowls. Huey did try to drink out of them a couple of times but he liked his own big water bowl better, so it's working out just fine. It doesn't mean we won't be jumping up on the kitchen counter just for fun.
Thank you for being such pawsome friends to all of us!
Melody and I are Birthday Bunnies today! What a fun day and evening we're having celebrating with all of you!
When we were trying on our bunny ears headband, Mom just knew we wouldn't be able to keep them on, so she removed the plastic inside the headband and turned us into lopped-ear bunnies! Much better.
Well, we can't believe we've five years old already, and to think we were born in the backyard of the neighbor's house down the street is something else.
Melody and I have not changed much, but we're so grateful we've kept old friendships here and gained some new ones over the years.
Thank you all so very much for all the Birthday greetings!
