Arrival Story:
We were training a team of horses at a neighbor's place and there were two litters of kittens in the barn. I've never been particularly fond of cats, but I was curious to see the baby kittens. I held a little white kitten with a big orange spot on our first day at the barn. Over the next few weeks we would go to the barn to work with the horses. One day I went in to see the kittens and a horrific site greeted me--- there was a kitten head in the middle of the barn. After that, I made my husband check the barn before I would go in to see the kittens. I started getting scared that the tom cat would eat my favorite kitten with the orange spot. The tom cat killed about three other kittens and I finally broke down and decided to take Kitty home with us.

Bio:
Kitty likes to go outside, but he is only allowed to be in our yard, the neighbor's yard, or on the abandoned railroad track behind our house. He must be in site at all times & he is not allowed to cross the street. I trained him to follow these rules after a dog attack left him with a broken leg. He was in the hospital for 3 days and it took us several months to recover. He still has a limp and is not particularly graceful, but he likes to go outside & sit in the sun and chatter to the bird and sniff for voles.
