My Diary

Meow! Great news! My health problems were not due to heart disease, as originally suspected. I had an overactive thryroid. I'm now on medication and have dropped down to my normal weight. My energy levels have soared and I am a frisky little kitten again. One would never guess that I am 12 years old when they see me rocket around my dwelling, jumping from window ledges to couches and running behind doors like a ferocious tiger.
My heart!December 4th 2007 6:57 am[ Leave A Comment ] One year ago, I was diagnosed with a level two heart murmur. We followed up the diagnosis with a catscan and an EKG. The EKG showed a slight restriction of bloofd flow in the right ventricle of my heart. I'm now 12 years old and just went back for a checkup where they discovered that the heart murmur is now a 4 out of 6. So we followed up with another EKG and I just got the diagnosis that I have benign "Right Ventricular Outflow Obstruction," which is untreatable. We have no idea what this even means and have been trying to find information about it in laymens terms but everything out there on the Web is not helpful. So we're worried about my prospects, but we're going to focus on my quality of life. I'm on a low cal diet and I excercise every day. We're not sure if i should continue to exercise or if this is speeding up the thickeing of my right ventricle wall. If I have to give up play, some one is going to have some explaining to do! I will meow all night. This is my routine man!
