Arrival Story:
She adopted us. We lived in an apt. and she was in the parking lot every day, all covered in dirt and oil from sleeping under cars. I crouched to say hello eevry time I saw her. It was love at first sight. She began waiting for me after work and followed me home and kept on coming back. She belonged to someone else who had six other cats and did not care for her. The person had cast her outside in the cold New England climate due to allergies. She started coming into the apt and sleeping over on cold nights. When we moved, I went to say goodbye and could not find her. I had left the car door open and when I returned to it, she was in the passenger seat, on my coat. So she made the choice to come with us and I merely respected it. She has been the love of our lives for the past decade now.

Bio:
Jezebel is super smart. When we first moved from our apt. we had to stay with my parents for a little while and they had two other cats. One was a sage, old calico named Gen. She was the alpha queen kitty. I taught Gen and Jezebel to play pass with me. They would crouch at angles to me and we would create a triangle. I would roll a ball to one of them and they would roll it back and we kept it going for thirty minutes. It was amazing. Jezebel has figured out how to open the cabinet where her food is and if she had thumbs, she would unscrew the lid too. We had to buy a screw on lid because she figured out how to drop the tin can from the counter a break the lid open.

Meow! Great news! My health problems were not due to heart disease, as originally suspected. I had an overactive thryroid. I'm now on medication and have dropped down to my normal weight. My energy levels have soared and I am a frisky little kitten again. One would never guess that I am 12 years old when they see me rocket around my dwelling, jumping from window ledges to couches and running behind doors like a ferocious tiger.

I'm about to be a big "sister." My masters are expecting a boy this month. I wonder how I'll feel about all of the changes since i've been an only cat for 12 years. They plan to respect my space and make sure that i have safety zones that the baby cannot reach. they promise not to kick me to the curb and to make up for the missed attention I will notice at first.

Life is good.

My heart!

One year ago, I was diagnosed with a level two heart murmur. We followed up the diagnosis with a catscan and an EKG. The EKG showed a slight restriction of bloofd flow in the right ventricle of my heart. I'm now 12 years old and just went back for a checkup where they discovered that the heart murmur is now a 4 out of 6. So we followed up with another EKG and I just got the diagnosis that I have benign "Right Ventricular Outflow Obstruction," which is untreatable. We have no idea what this even means and have been trying to find information about it in laymens terms but everything out there on the Web is not helpful. So we're worried about my prospects, but we're going to focus on my quality of life. I'm on a low cal diet and I excercise every day. We're not sure if i should continue to exercise or if this is speeding up the thickeing of my right ventricle wall. If I have to give up play, some one is going to have some explaining to do! I will meow all night. This is my routine man!
