Tabby and White
he LOVES to play, and likes being petted...he also likes to lick human hands and toes
hates anything unexpected, new places, Sam chasing him, and having his toe nails clipped
catnip mouse and the feline flyer
Favorite Nap Spot:
on top of Mom's shoes, but on the human bed isn't so bad either
He's a very clean guy and is constantly washing his paws in his water bowl or other people's glasses.
We had been seeing a stray cat in the neighborhood that looked identical to our cat, Sam, for months so we set a trap for her and caught Hunter instead. Initially he was very scared and not friendly, so we were thinking about releasing him after his neuter, but after about two months he decided that people were pretty cool and now loves to be petted. When we first got him a lot of feral cat groups and websites advised us that he might never make a good pet, but is making progress every day and is such a great addition to our family. Hunter is proof that with some patience and work, feral cats make loving, loyal pets.
Hunter is a funny little guy....he is absolutely fascinated with water. He loves the sink, the toilet flushing, and likes to wash his little paws in any water glasses that he finds sitting around. He also has a serious shoe obsession. He likes to shove his nose in them, roll around on them, and one of his favorite nap places is in the closet on top of all his Mom's shoes. He chirps instead of meows and loves to tell everyone what he is doing through out the day. He also LOVES to play, and has been known to slide into doors and people while barreling around the house chasing his toy mice. At night he's happy to snuggle up in bed and sometimes likes to use his Mom as a pillow.

How can I catch the last stubborn feral cat?
He's a really special guy, because he went from being nearly feral to pretty well domesticated in about 5 months. Hunter also lives up to his name, is obsessed with toys and destroys them all very quickly. We were told that being exposed to another cat would be good for him, because he would learn how to interact with people from watching the other cat. Well, he has been picking up a lot of Sam's habits and characteristics (mostly bad) and its really funny to watch. Thanks to Sam, Hunter likes to drink out of people's water glasses and the toilet.

Mommy and Daddy took me to the family vet today (before I just went to the spay/neuter clinic) and I saw Sam and Sophia's vet. She said I'm actually not as old as everyone thought I was, only 1 or 2, and I'm completely healthy. The Dr. also gave me my micro chip which means I am officially a permanent part of the family! Sam still bullies me but Mommy and Daddy are working on it. Maybe now that I have a chip like him he'll be nicer.
