Chadwick's Musings

And so it begins...................

The two kitties have been living upstairs in their private suite for a month now, and I hoped it would stay that way, but alas change was inevitable.
So, today, Daddy and Mommy took me up to the kitties' suite for a visit. Mommy took a lot of Feliway spray and catnip. She is so 60's! I wasn't too bad, actually daddy was surprised. I did hiss and yowl a little, even when Creampuff tried to kiss me, but I didnt attack anyfur. After they didn't react, I kind of shut up. They stayed just under the edge of the bed but they didn't act afraid really. As for me, well, once I realized they were going to stay under the bed and that mommy and daddy weren't going to rescue me, I just went over and ate up the kitten chow from their dish and then I looked in the mirror to be sure I am still the most handsome cat in the house, and then I sat and looked out the window. Eventually daddy took me back outside and said "That was not bad for a first hour! You did pretty good!" He took me back downstairs to watch tv with him. (I did hear that mommy stayed behind and gave the babies treats however, and I dont know what they did that was so great!)
I suppose they are going to let them loose in the house in a few days and Im just going to have to get used to it. Perhaps I will just take the high road and ignore them.
We'll see......

Happy New Year

Well its a brand new year, Christmas has come and gone with all its lights and tinsel and wonderful presents and food. Now its time for New Year resolutions! I resolve this year to get used to the two little intruder kitties who are living upstairs in the guest room. My pawrents have adopted them so officially they are my brofur and sisfur. I suppose with a whole year to get used to them I might make this resolution happen. I will give it the good old Chadwick try, starting very soon..........

My Back Door Family

Well its official! The 4 kittens and one older cat who have adopted us have been adopted by us too. They are wild little creatures and wont come closer than 4 feet to mommy, even though they sure like the food she gives them! One of them talks to me through the screen door. I kind of like them....outside that is.....as long as they dont come in here in my house! My mom and dad would bring them right in and make a space for them in a heartbeat if they'd let them, but they are wild and wooly little furballs. Mostly they like to play on the lawn tractor or run around and through the lilac bushes. And eat. They do like to eat quite a bit. Their mom has disappeared, we dont know where, so I guess we have 4 babies now. Mom is going to make a page for them because she says she loves them even if they wont let her touch them. Love is in the heart not in the fingers and fur I guess. I hope everybody comes to see them. She got phtos of 3 of them...the other one didnt come out today except to eat....but she'll get him too, and the older guy, Floyd too. If you come see them just look how much little Orangie looks like me! (but dont blame me! I dont go outside and anyway I went to the vet a long time ago.) This is kind of the best of both worlds, you know? I have little kitties to enjoy, watch, meow to....but I dont have to share my laps!
