Hurricane Irene

Hurricane Irene hit the east cost pretty hard this past weekend. We were out of water and electric for two days, but luckily, my family saw no major flooding or damage. I know many folks were not as fortunate as us. I work at a pet resort/boarding facility; seeing the heartbreak in each owner's eyes was devastating. Of course, they were in good hands with us, but I can't imagine the feeling of evacuating my property, and on top of that, not being able to take my babies with me! I'll continue to keep them in my thoughts and prayers, I hope the rest of you will do the same

How Ruuuude!

Let me start off by saying, I'm not very happy right now. You see, mom has this big camouflage jacket, and when she carelessly tossed it on the couch, I saw this as an opportunity to take a nap. Too bad I blend in with it so well..

Mom did the unthinkable, and she sat on me! That's right, she totally didn't see me and my whole back end got violated. I quickly meowed and popped up. She apologized, hugged me, then just started laughing. I'm humiliated right now, but I might find humor in this later..

1) What is your favorite Olympic sport? - Bird watching.. "Here birdie birdie"

2) Do you prefer summer or winter? - I'd have to say winter (now that I'm an inside kitty). Winter is a time of being generous; I like keeping mom's face warm while she sleeps, laying on the heat vents to make sure they're working, and occasionally knocking over the christmas tree!

3) What is the quirkiest thing you do? - Open cabinets and dressers droors. Although, I don't see what's weird about this. The humans do it all of the time?

4) Do you have a crush on any other kitties? - I've had one crush in my life, an old tom cat they called "Black Jack". Once I got fixed, he stopped coming around -- how typical

5) What is your favorite rosette or zealie, and why? - The heart, it makes me feel so loved :)

A Dog Sits Waiting
