I am so PC!

I am so PC in everything I do. My favorite thing in the whole world is to scratch on the patio door until Mommy or Daddy opens it and to go outside on the patio. I don't really do anything out there that is different than what I do inside. If I jump up on the fence I really do get in trouble though. I just roam around, chew on the leaves of the bush and watch the squirrels and birds through the fence cracks.

Daddy asks me why I want to go out there because there's nothing I can see out there that I can't see from the bedroom window. Doesn't he understand? The patio is a very unique place, a very different place than up on top of the bookcase, under the bed, in the closet or on my cat seat. Why doesn't he get it? A unique place is really hard to find when you are just a plain old house cat.

I hear on the radio and on TV that many people are also PC. They talk about it like it is a bad thing, like they lack imagination. But I can't blame people for having a sense of adventure that they don't understand. My sense of adventure is soothed by an hour or so on the patio.

I am Buster of Sacramento and I am PC - PATIO CAT!!!

My pawrents have really been watching the election in Iran and I almost forgot to check in and say thank you to some nice kitties who left me some nice kitty gifts.

Thanks Rayna for the nice grape drink... How did you know grape was my favorite?

Cammi was DDP the other day and I cruised by her page and saw the cutest "glamour shot" photos of her. Thanks for the flag. You're right, it is close to Independence Day! I need to start practicing my under the bed drill. Just like mama always said, "Duck and cover son, duck and cover"!

The furever star that Stipely sent me as well as the beautiful diamond that Benny's family sent will remind me always how short and precious our time is with our family and friends. May they both rest in peace and forever bring gentle smiles to their families' faces.

It is a beautiful day so I guess I will go scratch on the patio door until it magically opens and take a nap in the sun.

Peace Out

Buster

I got so busy today I had not had a chance to stop by and check in on my Catster pals until now!!! Wow was I surprised!! Thanks Catster Cat! It is always fun to be acknowledged.

Thanks for the World and nice note RA. I also enjoyed hearing from Kaci Sunshine. Sorry to hear you had "boom boom" storms at your house too! Under the bed sounds like a safe place though. I will have to remember if they come by my way again! It was nice to hear from Hazel Lucy and Buddie always loved via pawmail.

Well I am going to go cruising to see all the other DDP entries and read my paw mail!

Peace Out,

Buster

I really like the new catster comment section. It is new to me and I don't remember to check it but it is really cool!!! HQ is always dreaming up new fun stuff... While I am acknowledging stuff I like. I sure like the variety of Furever gifts they are adding and I hope the keep adding them. I like the Holiday themed ones.....maybe they will come up with some neat halloween and Christmas furever gifts!!!

Thunder Boomers

Yowser! I didn't get any sleep the night before last and had to sleep all day yesterday. This is the first opportunity I have had to write about all the strange happening!

Something happened that I have never seen before. Mommy called it a LIGHTNING STORM. I had never seen a storm like that in my whole life. My pawrents said it storms like that in Oklahoma all the time but they can't remember a storm like that here in Sacramento. It lasted almost all night. The sky would get very bright and BOOM! BOOM! was the sound the sky made.

At first I thought it was the leaf blowers, but it seemed different somehow. I cried for Mommy and Daddy to come to bed, so we could all hide under the covers, but they wouldn't budge. They didn't even seem scared. In fact, they opened the patio doors so they could listen. Evidently Mommy likes all that racket ( Daddy calls her strange and I must say I agree). She turned the lights low and lit a candle and listened to the storm. I, however, could not relax the entire night. I stayed alert running from window to window fully prepared to protect my family if it was necessary.

It finally calmed down at about 4 am and we all got into bed. I was so relieved. It reminded me of the fireworks they have on the 4th of July, but louder!!

Needless to say I looked like a sad sack yesterday. I didn't even get up for my morning Tuna or morning Patio time. I have been watching the weather channel closely to see if they are coming back. I am glad to report although they are predicting rain, they don't anticipate anything like the lightning storm we had.

Thank Cats for that. I really don't think I could stand another night like that again anytime soon!!

Peace Out,

Buster

I hope RA is hanging in there with all those BIG DOGS at her house. Her mother must have her hands full!

Thanks to all you nice Kitties ( and one cute puppy)

I got so many nice surprises the past few days! I even got enough to have a fabulous day.

First, I fired up both of the grills that Dexter and Callie gave me. After the grills were nice and hot I put on Buddy Boy's steak and Kona's shrimp. While they were cooking I sat back with Ethan's lady bug and drank the most refreshing grape drink I had in a long time, that had been especially provided from the other side by Mr. Sam.

I was so full I thought I would bust, but I just couldn't stop until I ate a big piece of Kaci Sunshine's watermelon!!! It was all so great I fell into bed so fat and happy I could hardly stand it. And, as I was drifting off to sleep Miss RA gave me the sweetest smooch!!!!

Thank you all so much. And thank Catster for providing us animals a fun place to hang out!!!

Peace Out,

Your pal Buster

It's been a while!

It sure has been a while since I have been on Catster. It still feels like home! Things have been pretty crazy around my house. We worked so hard during the election I guess we just forgot how to relax. Well things are back to normal. Mommy's back on a diet and everything is all diet all the time! I can tell Daddy is getting tired of hearing about Mommy's diet, but he ALWAYS acts interested. He even helps her exercise every day. I like to watch my pawrents. They are so strange. I can tell they love each other.

Sometimes it makes me feel like something is missing from my life. Don't get me wrong, I have a very good life and my interests are varied. I surround myself with the latest discoveries in astronomy, archaeology, philosophy and even some metaphysics. Countless hours are spent delving deep into the Wikipedia archives. But, there has been a restlessness in me that won't let go of my heart. I find myself going back to a photograph of Misty.

Grandmom sent me her picture a while back. I mean she looked okay and everything. To be honest I really didn't pay much attention when Mommy and Daddy showed me her picture. Now, I can't stop thinking about her. I tried talking to Daddy but he just looked a little surprised and told Mommy that he thought the "surgery" took care of all that! Mommy reassured him that it had, but the urge to find a BGFF( a soulmate if you will) continues throughout all living creatures' lives and I am no exception!

She suggested that I stop trying to fight my feelings and give them some room to grow. So here I am on Catster pouring my heart out to Misty!

I am going to go page hopping and see what my friends have been up to. I already stopped by RA's page and it looks like her mother finally figured her out.... DRAMA QUEEN indeed!!

It's all about me Grandpa!!!

Dear Grandpa,

I know I don't talk to you much and first I would like to thank you for taking good care of Grandmom. Now that she is "out of the woods" we need to talk about FOOTBALL!

After the BYU game I am leading in both the Cool Cat Football pool AND the Yahoo College Football Pool!!!! How cool is that?!!! I did not do very good during the season but I kicking butt now!!! I hope your are proud of me. I might Ace the final after all!!!

Granddad thanks for driving Grandmom and loving her as much as you do.
I think you love her almost as much as I do!

Well, give Grandmom a kiss for me and wish me luck!!! On the yahoo game pool I had to pick something called 'confidence points" . I picked South Florida to beat Oregon as my first choice. Do you think I made the right pick? I sure hope I did!!

Got to go... Lights Out!

Buster

P.S Do you think Misty might consider being my Valentine? Don't tell Grandmom (cause she will get all mushy) but I think I might want to send her a Valentine. I know she is very wild (goes outside and climbs trees!) but she might benefit from a calming influence. Anyway, I don't have to worry about that now. I have to pass the football test first!

A Conversation with Baby Jesus

Dear Baby Jesus,

I have never talked to you before, but I know humans do it all of the time, so I thought I would try. I know that you live in a Promised Land. I also know that Oklahoma is the Promised Land and that is where Grandmom lives.

Please, Baby Jesus, help Grandmom. She has not been feeling well at all. Maybe you could stop by Grandmom's house, since you're neighbors, and bring her some chicken soup to help her feel better. I sure hope you would do that for me. I know you will help Grandmom because that is just what you do!

You see we just have to help Grandmom, Baby Jesus, because she is my best friend. She emails me every day, sends me pictures of other animals all of the time, my mama and daddy love her a lot and she gives me lots of treats. I went to visit Her Royal Highness the Sock Puppet Princess and she helped me make a magic cake for Grandma, but when I asked her to help me this time, she said I needed to talk to you. I hear your birthday is coming up real soon and I'll work real hard to make a magic cake for you too!

I would like to thank you in advance for your help in this matter. Oh, I almost forgot. A big AMEN!

Buster

Letter Home

Dear Grandmom and Grandpop,

Hi!!! I just thought I would drop you a line and tell you about all the stuff I have been up to. First I finally won the football pool. Boy that sure made Daddy proud of me!!! He gets excited about the strangest stuff!! I was one of the diary picks on Sunday. It was so cool. Momma said it was about time!! Rocky Ann sent me a rosette for being honored. I sent her a thank you note and told her I wasn't being honored but I really liked the cool rosette. She had to pawmail me back with the link. I didn't make the front page so I couldn't see it. It was still pretty cool. You see I am not going to present some of my ground breaking research on the role of Kitties in history until I am published. That way I can reach more felines and perhaps gain the support I am going to need to make the history books accurately reflect our role throughout history!

I broke the keyboard last week. You see Daddy was typing and I stopped by to get a drink of his tea (I love people tea!!) I don't know why but I got this urge to stick my paw in and give it a quick stir first. Unfortunately I spilled the entire glass on the keyboard. At first it was okay and then it started typing like hellograndmotheriwislslslslslsl.... It wouldn't space or anything. Daddy bought a new keyboard. It is different and my paws don't fit like they did on the old board. Momma told Daddy that she was going to get us both sippy cups!!! I don't think she realizes that I am a kitty cat not a toddler. Oh well, I will keep you posted if a sippy cup is in my future!!

Please notice I call her momma not mommy anymore. She told me that she is putting her foot down on the mommy thing. She said she put up with it for a while because she thought it was cute. However, she said that only stage mothers and actresses that spank their children with clothes hangers are called mommy. She said it gives her the creeps!!! I certainly don't want to give her the creeps. It sounds very itchy.

I have been thinking about all those kitties that live under the bridge on the Boardwalk in New Jersy. I sure hope they are going to be okay this winter. The people sure are nice to feed them!!! Daddy was cleaning the patio and momma tried to carry me outside!! I wiggled as hard as I could and jumped out of her arms and right back in the apartment, WHERE I BELONG!!!!! It is a tough world out there and I know a good thing when I've got it. They had to have a talk with me and promise they would never leave me out there. They say I have abandonment issues!!!!

I'm writing you this long letter because I might be away for a couple of days because the computer has to go into the repair shop. The CD/DVD burner went out.

Keep those kitties under the bridge in your prayers! And keep the cool emails coming.

Love,

Buster XOXOX
