Arrival Story:
My betrothed and I went to the no-kill cat center found in the back of a NYC PetCo. Despite their kitty terrorists ways (see: http://archive.salon.com/mwt/creat ure_feature/2003/05/12/hello_kitty /) we emerged with the amazing brother-sister team of Wayne and Bunny. They were rescued from a vacant lot in Green Point, Brooklyn during the beginning of a very harsh winter. They were quite shy and scared when we the spotted them among the other cats (they spooning each other in the back of their cage) but were so sweet. They remain total buddies.
Bio:
Bunny is, of course, named after the great drag queen The Lady Bunny. Also, she has a orange/gray coloring that looks like a bunny and hops quite a bit like a rabbit. She's a very good eater and maybe be going on the Green Bean Diet sooner than she knows.
Wayne hid behind a bookshelf when we first brought him home, but sudddenly became animated when the Flaming Lips' "Clouds Taste Mettalic" came on. He was ALL OVER the stereo. Thus, he's named after the Lips' lead singer, Wayne Coyne.
They're really good cats.
