I loved my birthday present. My mummy took me for a walk tonight on my leash, and I got to go wherever I wanted!!! (well, almost). I was so happy because this is the first time in a long time that she took me for a long walk like tonight. She broke her ankle and then her wrist a long time ago, and it is still healing. I was patient about my nightly summer walks because I knew she couldn't. But boy, did I have fun tonight! I headed outside the park, and wow, I was surprised to see how much it changed. I had so much to explore. There was this tall thingy that followed the road on both sides, and I found a hole. I stuck my head through, and it looked pretty interesting. I started going through the hole, and my mummy snapped at my collar and said "no" to me. I could tell she was scared of me to go through that hole, so I never tried again after that, even after we came back. I looked through that hole again, but I didn't try to go through cause I didn't want to scare my mummy again. (She says I'm pretty smart for a cat). I started walking back out of the park, but mummy told me her ankle was hurting her, so we had to head back. I moaned a little - just a little-, but didn't want her to hurt, so we headed back. When we got back, she let me stay outside on my leash for a very long time. It is so peaceful here. I can sit here forever at night! But alas, my mummy came and bundled me up and brought me in, gave me the rest of my birthday treats, and now I'm off to bed, all comfy and cozy. Happy Birthday to Me, purrrr.

My mommy came to me this morning and told me happy birthday. I didn't even know until she told me. She paid special attention to me today, giving my lots of love. Mommy and my favorite neighbor, Susie who likes to come over and give me treats, sang happy birthday to me through the window. I thanked them after they sang to me. Oh, and guess what? Mommy gave me all the treats I could eat today. That was fun because she usually limits my treats cause I'm such a pig with them. I can't believe that I am 3 years old already. I'm a young man. I'm still trying to get my favorite girl, Zelda, to go with me. Her mommy says she can't date until she is three years old. So I have to wait and be patient. I had a great birthday...can't wait until my next one! MMMM treats, treats, treats. (I'm still a sleek young man, so I should be able to eat all the treats I want!!!
