Arrival Story:
She was born at my high school during the end of my Junior year. Her mother was raising her litter on the other side of some one way glass near some generators. When the students saw the kittens, several of them ran out to catch them (they were roughly four weeks). Their mother, Mia, was feral, and she ran. The kittens scattered. Four of them were caught, but the fifth was missing. Worried about her, I skipped class for the first time to look for her. Eventually, I found her squeezed between a tuft of sawgrass and the concrete slab where the generators were housed. She was pretty stuck, and very scared. I freed her (with difficulty), and called my mom to come pick her up. Later that night, we had a chorus concert. As we were walking past that place where the kittens had been, I glanced over and spotted the mother all curled up where her babies had been. She looked so sad that I went and called my mother again. She brought Dana and a big pet crate, and after two hours of dangling the kitten in the back of the crate, the mother got up the nerve to try and grab her. We closed the crate and brought them both home. I named the mother, a beautiful Siamese, "Mia", and gradually began taming her. She was deliriously happy to have her baby back, and the two of them remained inseparable until the day Mia turned feral again.

Bio:
Dana is very affectionate and clingy to me, but she is timid around strangers. She has decided that she does like Maru after all, as the little guy assumes the world loves him, and nothing can put him off.
