Arrival Story: DC is the daughter of our cat, Annabelle. When we adopted Annie, she was already expecting. We contacted the local shelters, and three agreed to accept the kittens, if we would spay and adopt the mother. This was fine with us, because we had already fallen in love with Annabelle. When the babies were born, we notified the shelters, and began to care for them until they were old enough for their new homes. Nothing ever goes as planned. A couple days before the kittens were to leave, Hurricane Katrina hit. So many animals were transferred here, that the shelters were overflowing. Well, you guessed it, they all turned down the kittens. My frustrated husband said "We'll just keep them."...And we did!

Bio: DC is the happiest little girl. She jumps up to meet your hand when you pet her, always with this cute little "wwrrrp" sound. She can be across the room, and when you call out "DC!", she will hop into the air with her special greeting. We call this the "DC Bounce". You can't help but love her! When it is time to feed all the cats, we prepare the food in the garage, and carry it in on platters. The cats know the "pop" sound of the can lids, and will gather at the back door. DC had the bad habit of rushing out, causing her to miss out on the food until I could grab her up, and put her back inside. This is the "DC Dash". She has finally learned to follow me in! DC gets her name "Drop Cloth" from her unusual markings. On one side, she is white with one peach spot. On the other side, she is dappled with peach and gray spots. She is growing into a beautiful girl, and every day lives up to her nick name, DC Darlin'.

Cool, Cool, Cool !
I am now a Detective at THE SAMOA DETECTIVE AGENCY.
I have my official Shout Box too ! OH H-a-p-p-y D-a-y ! I can now come out and play !
Wonder what my first case assignment will be? There are so many to investigate. And I heard another Detective saying I would have to "get my feet wet" first. Is that anything like a bath? If so, I may have to re-think this detective thing...
I hope my new friends will stop by and give me a shout...and maybe a clue or two !
