Smokey was found next door with a hurt paw. It's not bad, it's just a bit swollen. He'll be okay. We're so happy we found him.

Smokey didn't come home yesterday. He always comes home after being out at night. He lives with my mother and grandmother now, and he wears a collar with tags. It's a safety collar so hopefully it hasn't come off.
Anyone living in the California area please keep a lookout for Smokey!

Mom doesn't have her computer yet, so please be patient! We'll get back to you when we can. We moved out of our Grandma's place and well, long story short, we moved into a too small house and will be moving to a larger apartment next month.
Whiskers is still with Grandma, and she really misses us. But we'll get her back next month we hope, or the month after. Mom was trying really hard to find a place big enough for all of us and she finally did it!
The place we live in now is awful, Mom's old room mate nearly killed me! She tied my leash to a car and got me dragged down the street! I have scars now, but I'm still handsome. Tell you more about that later.
How we moved and why is a very LONG story, so when Mom gets her computer and the internet back, I'll tell you then.

This is The Tater Tots woofin' here cuz Mommy has to go to sleep early tonight! Some guy called her and told her that Teddi Sue is living with a girl named Jessica who lives on Beacon Hill in Seattle. He told Mommy that about 6 weeks (or so ) ago a couple of guys found a puppy locked in a cage (a blue-gray pet carrier!) just sitting in a parking lot in Auburn. These guys had to get rid of the puppy so "Marcos" told them he would take her and find her a home. Marcos is a pet groomer.
Sooooooo, Marcos told Mommy he gave her to Jessica as a birthday gift, as Jessica's Chihuahua had previously been stolen! Jessica never got her dog back so he wanted to give her this puppy. She has had the puppy now for several weeks. Marcos got a little bit cryptic and elusive about the whole story, but he said the puppy IS Teddi Sue. Mommy is convinced that he knows. He described her collar, the pet carrier and the shirt and little bone that was in the carrier! Jessica told Mommy about the white spot on Teddi Sue's chest and her eyebrows!
Mommy will meet with Jessica in Seattle at around noon tomorrow. (Sunday) As soon as Mommy sees the puppy she will call a friend and let her know if it is Teddi Sue or not. The friend will make a post here in the group right away to let ya all know! Woooohoooooo!!!!!!! Mommy's going to drive a diffrerent car to Seattle! NOT the CAMRY!!!!!!! Let's all PRAY SO HARD for this to be our girl!!!!!!! We'll woof to ya just AS SOON AS WE PAWSSIBLY CAN!!!!!! *big, huge , gigantic smiles and tons of hugs fur all our furiends*

OH MY CAT! Teddi Sue has been found! She really has! We don't know all the details yet, but we do know that Teddi Sue is safely in the arms of her Mommy! Thank you all of you who were so supportive and helped with this! A baby puppy is finally back in her Mommy's arms tonight!
Thank you everyone who put up fliers, who spread the word, who posted on blogs, who went to the site for Teddi Sue and was supportive, for the letters to her Mommy, for the stars, rosettes, prayers, signatures on the petition, and just everything.
We love ya!

I got Mom to put a new song on my page. It's from the movie the Aristocats.

Yesterday was Twix's birthday! It was Tiggy's birthday too. Me and Whiskers both wished them happy birthdays. We heard Tiggy had a party yesterday. We're so sorry we missed it!
We got a pawmail so that we could go to Twixy's birthday tea party just in time. Lucky and his family were there. LaBichita and Lil Crumb Cake 2 and their little brother cute little kitten Midnight. They couldn't stay long though.
Anyway, Twixy was there with her sisters Summerset and Penny. They're all really cool girls. My leg was still too achy to dance, but I was able to sing for them. Mom is thinking of putting that song on my page. It's just so me! It's called, Everybody Wants To Be A Cat.
We sang Happy Birthday and had lots of food and presents. Summer really loves candy and ice cream. Even Whiskers relaxed enough to sing with me!
Whiskers has loosened up more since being at Catster. She plays more and enjoys life more. She never really went to parties before, but now she really is getting into it! I of course, have always loved parties. I can't wait till the next one.
The Kitties Club is my favorite club so far. We had to leave a bunch of clubs because we were in so many it became really confusing! But we knew right away that The Kitties Club was the one to stay in! Why? Lots of reasons. Everyone is so friendly there. They have great parties. They have their own website and news letter. They have a cat of the week contest. The one who runs the club, Twix and her family, are really sweet gals. Got nothing bad to say about any of the other kitties there.
Best of all, they got Whiskers to loosen up! She was kinda uptight before.
Me and Whiskers got our claws clipped today. Mom says she needs to brush us soon too. Mom takes such good care of us and she loves the people on Catster just as much as we do!

Mom had a great idea and she did it right away. Many cats and dogs can look alike, but there are usually some small details that DO set us apart from each other. So she took down me and Whiskers, and saved it so that if we EVER get lost, these details can help find us. This is what she came up with for us.
Whiskers' Physical Appearance
Front Left Paw Pads: From The Front, Her first toe pad is pink, the rest are black.
Front Right Paw Pads: From The Front, Second toe pad is pink, the rest are black.
Rear Left Paw Pads: All Black.
Rear Right Paw Pads: All Black.
Eyes: Yellowish Green.
Nose: Black.
Fur: Short, Thick, Black and White.
Teeth: Left bottom canine tooth is missing.
Upper Lips: Left Is White, Right Is Black.
Chest and Stomach: White.
Back and Tail: Black.
Paws: White with all claws.
Legs: Black and White.
Top of Head: Black with white wide streak in the middle.
Bottom of Head: White with black nose and right black lip.
Body Structure: Short and Squat.
Smokey’s Physical Appearance
Front Left Paw Pads: From The Front, First toe pad and heal pad is gray. The rest are pink.
Front Right Paw Pads: All toe pads are pink. Heel pad is half pink and half gray.
Rear Left Paw Pads: All pink.
Rear Right Paw Pads: Toe pads mostly pink, heel pad mottled pink and gray.
Eyes: Yellowish Gold.
Nose: Gray.
Fur: Short, Fine, Dark Gray and White.
Teeth: Strong and a bit Large.
Upper Lips: Gray with maybe a tiny bit of white hairs.

Back and Tail: Dark Gray.
Paws: White with all claws.
Legs: Mostly Dark Gray With A Little White.
Top of Head: Dark Gray With Very Narrow White Stripe That Can Be Hard To See.
Bottom of Head: Gray But Underneath The Chin Is With A Large Dark Spot.
Body Structure: Long and lanky.

Hi everyone, just telling you what I think you all should know.
Mama has done a LOT of research on this subject. She read an article that says dry food really isn't all that good for cats. People like to use it because it lasts a long time and is easy to use. But cats like to get moisture WITH their food, and when they just eat dry food and drink water, they aren't always getting all the moisture they need.
The article went on to explain some health problems a kitty can get from eating dry food alone. Of course some kitties are addicted to dry food, but dry food has more grain in it in order to make the kibbles.

A lot of people have said that Fancy Feast made their cats sick.
A lot of people have been saying that Purina products have made their pets sick even though it wasn't on the recall list. When they tried to contract Purina to report it, they either couldn't get through or were given evasive answers, and Purina DOES buy from China. Most Purina foods are also full of grain, which isn't easy on a kitty's tummy and is not a good diet.
Mama used to feed me and Whiskers Purina One and Cat Chow. She's not going to anymore though. Whiskers kept throwing up and shedding a lot when she ate it, and I had watering eyes.
She’s put us on Whiskas for now. Unfortunately she suspects that they also buy from China, though she's not sure. However, Whiskas is on the safe food list, and has already been tested. It has more meat in it than other products. It's hard to know what to feed your pets right now. Some people say Whiskas is junk. Others swear by it.
If your parents decide to feed you human meat, they should probably talk to your vet to find out what supplements they needs to add to it. Kitties need taurine and some other vitamins and such.
It ISN'T a good idea to always feed fish, but chicken is okay. Of course that's your parents choice.
Some people recommend raw, but a cat or dog CAN get diseases or parasites from that. The ASPCA doesn't recommend it
Cats are MUCH harder to cook for than dogs. We need more protein in our diets, and more meat.
Of course whatever your parents decide to feed you is up to them. It’s VERY hard to find something that doesn’t get ingredients from China. The food that IS good seems to be very expensive or has to be ordered from a pet shop or from the Internet. Something my Mama can’t afford. Right now she’s just trying to find food that won’t poison us! We’ll be glad when this crisis is over. If it ever is.

I don’t know if any of them buy from China, but it might be worth looking into. If anyone has anymore information on these products, please let me know.
Itchmo has up to date news on this whole recall and problem. They also have an up to date recall list. I check there almost every day for what’s up. China even banned the site so that their people can’t see it! Makes you wonder what they’ve got to hide.
If you decide to post on the forums though, be careful, some people there can be very rude.

P.S. What is good for one cat might not be good for another. There can always be food allergies, medical problems, and other such things. We kitties are as big of individuals as people!
