When meowmy gave me my nightly pill, she noticed that my upper left fang was gone. But it was there last night. Meowmy has started looking for the tooth, but she hasn’t found it yet. I’m not telling her where it is. Maybe I even swallowed it. I don’t miss the fang at all, and I ate my dinner just fine this evening.
Sincerely,
Entrechat

I have a kitty bed. It’s in a corner of meowmy’s bedroom on a dresser shielded from cold drafts by blinds and curtains. My bed is warm and comfortable, and from there, I have a direct line of sight into the hall and kitchen. In past years, I have slept in my kitty bed during the cold winter months.
Well, this season, I wasn't sleeping in my kitty bed. Over the past few weeks, meowmy tried several times to put me in my bed. But NO—I did not want any part of it! So this past Monday, meowmy moved my kitty bed onto the lion blanket on her bed, where I would sometimes sleep during the day. But I wouldn’t go into my bed. Meowmy tried putting me in the kitty bed. Again NO—I did not want any part of it!
A little while later, my brofur Mathis found the kitty bed on meowmy’s lion blanket. He thought, “Wow, this is cool!” and he curled up in the bed and fell asleep. When I jumped up on meowmy’s blanket, I discovered Mathis in my bed. Well, I don’t like anyone taking MY things! So I bopped my wuss-puss brofur out of the bed! For the next 2 days I slept in my kitty bed. And now that it’s back on the dresser, I’m sleeping in my bed at night again, too. Boy did I show meowmy who’s boss! Nobody tells ME where to sleep! I love my kitty bed!
Sincerely,
Entrechat

I’ve been tagged by my cute kitty pal, Sushi.
Here’s how the game goes... Write 7 facts about yourself in your diary. Then tag 7 other kitties with a paw mail or rosette to read your diary and play the game.
1. Meowmy rescued me when her first cat, Schnurrtzel, brought me home. Schnurrtzel and I were “in love,” so meowmy said she had to take me, too.
2. The first time meowmy let me in the house after I became tame, I peed on meowmy’s bed where Schnurrtzel used to sleep. Needless to say, meowmy wasn’t happy with me, and she threw me outside. I’m just lucky she gave me a second chance.
3. After Schnurrtzel moved to another family a year later, I began to sleep with meowmy at night. I used to lie on her legs and try to make her as uncomfortable as possible. MOL!
4. I have extremely silky-smooth fur and a plush tail. Also, I have many interesting colors and patterns in my fur. I have black, white, orange and buff in patches as well as all mixed up.
5. I have a funny white stripe on my nose that makes it look crooked from a distance.
6. I love tuna-flavored Laxatone! I lick it straight from the tube!
7. When I had nuclear medicine in October 2007 to treat my hyperthyroidism, I was radioactive when I came home. So just to make sure I didn’t get too close to her, meowmy slept on the living room couch for a week, and I got the bed! MOL!

I have been tagged by my friend Theodore in the 4 x 4 Tag Game! There are 4 questions needing 4 answers.
Four jobs that I have had:
1. Washing Mathis’ head.
2. Growling and hissing at Belle, Figaro, Kragen, Antoine & Dusty.
3. Making meowmy uncomfortable in bed by sleeping on her legs.
4. Waking up meowmy in the morning by pulling & chewing on her hair.
Four places I have lived:
1. In the great outdoors.
2. In meowmy’s house, where I currently live.
3. At the vet in an oxygen tent, when I had congestive heart failure twice. (Didn’t enjoy that!)
4. At the vet in isolation, when I had radioactive iodine therapy for hyperthyroidism. (Didn’t like that either!)
Four places where I have been:
1. Collett Veterinary Hospital in Sylmar, CA.
2. Chatoak Pet Clinic in Granada Hills, CA.
3. Animal Medical Center of Southern California in West Los Angeles, CA.
4. Advanced Veterinary Medical Imaging in Tustin, CA.
Four places I’d rather be:
1. In meowmy’s closet—messing up her sock box.
2. In the linen closet—crawling on top of stuff.
3. In the bathroom cabinet—seeing what’s in there.
4. I love my home, and I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else!
Four cats I tag:
1. Madison
2. Griffin
3. Filly the Swift of Rohan
4. Westside

Dear Diary,
Meowmy got great news from the vet this Saturday! It has been about a month since my nuclear medicine treatment for hyperthyroidism, and I had a complete body function blood test this week. My vet, Dr. Jackson, says my blood work looks fantastic! My thyroid hormone level is in the normal range! Yeah! Also my creatinine and ALT liver function tests (which were previously a bit high) are now good as well! Meowmy says I look better, too. I’ve put some weight back on, and I’m not so skinny in the waist. Thank you Dr. Broome for curing me with my radioiodine treatment! We are very happy here!
Sincerely,
Entrechat

I am so glad to be home! I was in kitty-jail for 4 1/2 days! Why, I ask?!
It all started when I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism about a month ago—that I had a benign tumor on my thyroid, which produced too much thyroid hormone. Then the vet told meowmy to give me these Tapazole pills. Well, I didn’t like those pills much. They were fit for a horse, and they tasted terrible! So meowmy took me to some place in West Los Angeles last week, and she left me there! How could she?! At this place in West L.A. the people did some tests on me. I certainly wasn’t happy about that! That evening, I was transported by truck with a bunch of other yowling cats in cages to the city of Tustin. What an insult! The next day the people in Tustin did more stuff to me, and then they put me in solitary confinement, because they said I was radioactive! Whoa! How did that happen?! It turns out that the radioactive iodine that was given to me is supposed to kill the tumor on my thyroid, and in about a month I should be back to normal!
Well, all that is pretty cool! I’m going to be well soon! But why won’t meowmy let me sleep with her? She says it’s because I’m … radioactive! Well, at least she has the courtesy of letting me have the bed, and she gets to sleep on the couch! I’m just glad to be home!
Sincerely,
Entrechat

I have been tagged by Annie in the MeMe Game, so here it goes:
The rules: Each player starts with seven random facts about themselves. Cats who are tagged need to write in their own diary about the seven random facts and the rules. You need to choose seven cats to tag and list their names. Don't forget to leave them a comment that they have been tagged and to read your diary.
1. My full name is Entrechat Cat. It is based on a ballet jump called "Entrechat Quatre" in which the dancer does leg scissors in the air. Also, "chat" is the French word for cat. Entrechat is pronounced AAHN-tre-shaw.
2. I like my privacy. I won't use the litter box if anyone walks into the room, and I prefer to eat alone, undisturbed. (However, if mommy is in the bathroom or kitchen, I'll be right there!)
3. I am a neat freak. If I get an upset stomach and toss up my dinner or a fur ball, I will pester mommy until she gets up and finds the mess.
4. I hate getting my claws clipped. I'll make it sound like I'm being tortured before willingly submitting to getting my claws clipped!
5. Because of my heart murmur and early-stage cardiomyopathy, I have to take medicine every evening. The capsule contains lots of tiny time-release beads. I can't swallow the capsule whole, so mommy opens it up and pours the beads into the back of my mouth. I don't like taking my medicine, so if I can, I'll spit up some of the beads. Then mommy has to gather up the beads and try to get them down my throat.
6. Sometimes I want to get up before mommy does. If she doesn't get up when I want her to, I will chew and pull on her hair.
7. I don't mind sharing my house with my friend Mathis der Meowler, but I hate ALL the other cats! And if an outdoor stray walks by a window, I will fight him through the window and scream bloody murder!
I tag the following cats:
Amélie
Giddy
Louie
Monty
Peck
Theo Goldie
Zack
