Arrival Story:
In the summer of 1998, I chose meowmy's backyard to bear and raise my 4 kittens. When meowmy found me, I was extremely hungry and weak, but otherwise healthy. Somehow I just knew that meowmy's house would be good for my babies. Meowmy kept me and 2 of my kittens—Figaro and Kragen, and my other 2 kittens were adopted by a friend.

In 2003, I began to have horrible problems with my teeth and mouth. I lost several teeth and had very bad gingivitis and stomatitis. I quit eating and lost a lot of weight. After meowmy desperately tried to help me for 2 years, I had all my molars and upper fangs removed in 2005. My mouth problems disappeared, and now I can eat everything just fine! UPDATE: In the summer of 2011, meowmy noticed I couldn't hold my tail all the way up. I was eventually diagnosed with hyperaldosteronism, which causes potassium depletion, muscle weakness and other problems. My walk became more and more clumsy as my muscle tone diminished. When I had become so weak that my body started to shutdown, my meowmy and my vet set me free on July 19, 2013.

Letter from the Rainbow Bridge to my Meowmy

Dear Meowmy,

I just wanted to let you know how much I love you and how grateful I am to you for everything you have done for me. I was starving and trying to nurse 4 kittens when you rescued me 15 years ago. You kept me and 2 of my kitties—Figaro and Kragen, and you eventually found a good home for Hunter and Abbi. You made us comfortable, you fed us, you cared for us, and most important—you loved us. We were a happy family. I appreciate all the time and money you spent on my medical issues—first the teeth problems, then the hyperaldosteronism. Thank you for setting me free this morning. I know you're sad, but I'm well again at the Rainbow Bridge. I love you very much.

Your devoted kitty,

Meowmy Yelled at Me!

Dear Diary,

Meowmy yelled at me—twice! I had been eating from the food dispenser, when I started to heave. She commanded in a strong voice, “Not in the food!” I didn’t move and continued to heave. So she yelled at me, “NOT IN THE FOOD!” I moved just enough that I missed the food and grazed the outside of the dispenser. Then I went to the window ledge behind the couch, and I started to heave again. She yelled at me, “NOT ON THE COUCH!” I moved just enough that I missed her stuffed snake along the top of the couch, but I got the side of the couch and the floor! That’ll teach her not to yell at me!

Hi! I’ve been tagged by Filly the Swift of Rohan!

Here are five things I want for Christmas:
1. For people to spay and neuter their pets, so that there would be no unwanted homeless kitties and doggies.
2. A year 2008 filled with health and happiness for my loved ones and country.
3. Tuna!
4. A new cardboard Cat Scratcher!
5. Lots and lots of catnip!!!

I tag:
Sir Nigel
