Arrival Story:
I am Abby's second owner. Her original family had either surrendered her to the pound or the local cat rescue organization. This organization would take all the adoptable cats slated for termination from the pound and find them a home. According to the volunteer, her original owners thought she "got into too much trouble." What kitten doesn't?? Abby was about six months old when I spotted her at PetSmart (where the org was showcasing her). I adopted her because she had such a great personality and a cool coat. The volunteers told me she must be part Abbyssinian because of her ticked fur. When Abby was younger she did get into trouble. Here are some things she used to do: eat paper, chew leather shoes, play with and hide hair bands, pee on piles of paper if they were left there too long. Thankfully she is much more behaved now.

My hoomin recently took me to PetSmart to get a bath. At least we didn't see the vet! But, really - I'm a short-haired cat! So, I had a bit of cat dandruff going on near my tail, but was it really necessary to go the groomers? I was so embarrassed. The good news is I smell really really good and my fur is sooo soft.

Now, give me a treat!

I feel so special! I'd like to thank my parents, even though they just had two teeth pulled. I'd also like to thank the good people at Catster for choosing ME! Thanks everyone for the special COTD gifts!

I'm not a happy camper. First Mom wouldn't feed me yesterday morning and then she took me to the vet! I was there ALL DAY. And they never fed me. They drugged me and now I'm missing two of my molars and I'm in pain! And I heard something about a root canal. Did I have a root canal? What's that? At least I got to eat last night. I ate and ate and ate. Boy was I hungry. I hope I never have to go that long without eating ever again. Mom and Dad keep spraying some kind of liquid in my mouth. Not fun. I think I'm going to hide under the bed for a while.
